A winter hiking weekend in Germany | The best snowy day trips from Munich

A weekend in the Bavarian Alps this winter :)
I took the ICE from Leipzig to Munich, and used the Bavaria regional day ticket to travel by train to a few cute snowy spots. Did some hiking in the snow, met some nice people, ate some peanut butter and flew the drone.
And, of course, had some Glühwein in a Bavarian lodge.
Places visited in this video:
Spitzingsee (via bus from Schliersee)
Tegernsee (trail www.komoot.com/smarttour/958939)
Definitely recommend decent micro spikes if going in Jan/Feb like I did!
The way to make it so cheap to travel from Munich to anywhere is the Bavaria Pass with DB. Google "DB Bavaria Pass" - it's 26 eur/day for one person, and the price per person decreases with each additional person you travel with.

No need to apologize. Quite the contrary, your videos are so full of warmth and appreciation, makes me enjoy my home even more. I live in Munich and after watching your video I immediately arranged a day trip to the mountains for the next weekend. It's been a couple of months since I last did that. Oh my gosh! Just watched, you get better every time. I got my daughter to watch you again with me, we both loved your comment of "when it's cold it makes you feel warm inside". You putting on those snow grips on your shoes, made me feel like you were one with us as a Canadian. My daughter loved you absent mindedly turning around to see the view and giggled when you smiled at the view. We both liked you reverse ascent footage of you goibg up the hill, there is that complexity of humor you have. Great video Tom, thanks again for sharing Gina

I somehow missed the notification and just saw your video today - it's absolutely stunning! I love your low key approach and the relaxing background music you use. FYI: As once glasses wearing person to another, I started buying "fit-over" sunglasses that you wear over your prescription ones. They are so much less expensive than buying prescription sunglasses, and they have some really nice ones out now so they're not as ugly as they used to be.

hi tom, i am coming in leipzig in December for some days. i just watched your video and loved it. would like to do the exact same thing. can you share the iteniary for your travel from leipzig to Munich and then to the mountains as it prices seems very hike so just wanted to do a comparison
