A Winter's Day in Changthang | Living with the Changpas of Ladakh - 2/6

India In Motion

5 жыл бұрын

The changpas are a tribe of semi-nomadic people who live in Changthang, the high altitude plains of Ladakh and northern Tibet. Crops do not grow at these high altitudes, so the Changpas survive by raising goats and yaks. It is a hard life as they spend almost every moment days taking care of their animals and processing their produce.
In this episode we will see what a typical day of a Changpa is like during the winters. Everything from their activities at home, in the village and out in the plains with their animals.

i was reading somewhere that ladakh was considered a happy state inspite of the harsh weather conditions here. Thats because people live simple and together in communities respecting the environment. Hope outsiders always respect this tradition and not try to take development here. One of the few left natural habitats.

You are a great teacher. Some gurus teach with words, you teach by manifesting the principles of universal knowledge. Yes, you are absolutely right, the Universe does manifest reality based on your clear intent. The Changpas are manifesting beauty, hardship and freedom, it is their reality. I think I found u and ur videos during when I was looking for good stuff on like time lapse and stuff at leh... so it goes back I think 2 3 years back when I saw your channel and since then I have been seeing your each video... and I wish I could join u in one of ur regular visits to the place... and get up close and personal with the locals is the best I think so... u could also make a series of these and sell out to amazon prime or Netflix

That's a interesting suggestion Vasu. I've also thought about the same. But the quality of my content is not upto the level they'll demand. It will slowly get there though.

Great one again ❤️.... I am now realizing the transition from timelapses to cultural documentaries... Keep it up sir 😊...

Timelapses always felt empty to me. This is more fulfilling. But having said that I do want to capture more timelapses as fillers for my documentaries. I'm a bit cross with myself that I didn't capture any timelapses on this trip.

Thanks Tarun. KZfaq exists because of funny cat videos. But seriously it is a great platform for independent people like me to put out content and make a living from it. Eventually... (I get less than 50$ a month from KZfaq).
