Happy New year! I hope you enjoy this video! I have been in hibernation mode and will be until the Spring time, so this year I am going easy on myself and living a slower pace of life to help me get through this winter season.
Rosemary Bath:
2 Sprigs Rosemary Plus extra (optional)

2 Tbsp himalayan salt

Oh, I love Lord of the Rings. I watched the extended version of "Return of the King" last weekend. It's funny because you've always reminded me of Arwen, so now it makes sense 😊 What I also love to do this time of year is listen to Aurora. I feel like her music just goes so well with the winter season. Her cover of "Walking in the Air" is so beautiful and cosy and magical and so appropriate for this time of year. ☃️❄

I also love Wardruna’s Gap Var Ginnunga album - especially with the crunching snow sounds! I think tonight needs to be a LOTR night, and it’s always Aurora season, but I agree that she seems to especially reflect the Winter and the forest.

This video resonates with me on such a deep level. I've always felt an emptiness in the winter, but also a sense of overwhelm. I feel like society speeds up after the holidays, and it's very hectic for my mental state and physical well-being. I think because the calendar year has ended, people think they need to get to work and reinvent themselves. But I find that starting off a new year in that way is exhausting. I need time to catch a breath from the previous year and the inevitable chaos of the holidays, as joyous as they are. And this video perfectly encapsulates the kind of winter traditions I want to create for myself.

Thank you for taking us into your beautiful special woodland,as I'm a little housebound and so miss being able to walk to our woodlands for that natural earthy grounding. I closed my eyes while you read that folklore story from Poland and saw 👀 the journey of the man finding the little lady and mountain top monastery and splendid and exhausted and drain he felt until his dream told him what yo do. Oh, my beautiful Fae friend! It’s Seja from The Velvet Lotus:3 I’ve watched this 3 times already! I don’t even know where to begin! The storytelling with Charlie had me giggling and swooning! Thank you Alwyn! This is just magical and cozy. Did you paint the forest painting behind you? It’s lovely! I’ll have to try the pie recipe although I am terrible at crusts. I love Jamie from Outlander! I rad the first five books and my friends and I have an “ Outlander Club” where we drink out of wooden goblets, wear Outlander jewelry and have laminated cutouts of our favorite men from the show. Of course Jamie is the perfect man as he is written by a woman! 😅 I even picked Scotland for my husband and I for our honeymoon (and stayed in Dalhousie Castle!) because of Outlander. That was lovely, thank you so much...I loved the story, it was so relaxing. I hope you had a lovely festive break and Happy New Year. I enjoyed hearing about chakras as I'm only just learning about them, so I'll give it a go and see what happens. I must admit, I enjoy the winter, but I'm also enjoying looking out for early signs of spring. I've been hearing birds singing more in the mornings and warming up their voices, and there are catkins on the bushes. Oh, and I really loved your outfits too. You look beautiful! x

I made a very similar pie a couple of days ago, with puff pastry, leek, carrot mushroom and soya chunks. We have such similar taste in clothes and series. I binge watched the Witcher in a few days, and love Outlander. I've been so tempted by wheel of time, but haven't read all the books yet. That was truly lovely Alwyn. Thank you. The days between New Years Day and Imbolc always seem the most bleak. I'm in Western Pennsylvania and we go days and days without ever seeing the sun. Outside is literally 50 shades of grey and it is depressing. It is no wonder why the bear is my spirit animal; gorge on salmon sushi till plump and fat... sleep thru the winter...wake up skinny.
