Hi Ben your right it has been a good 2023 . The thing about your channel for me is the diversity , I like it when you’re fishing with your kids and just hanging out with the family . I like the salt water action , a break from the trout fishing, the tuna fishing is something every fly fisherman should go do . The new raft and the equipment you use is great it gives people ideas of what you can use and how to set it up. Your out of country experiences are great makes people want to go somewhere foreign and try something different. All the things you do make your channel fun to watch . Change is the only constant in life it makes us who we are . Looking forward to 2024 and new adventures. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. No matter what , stay Hugh

We drove SLC to Denver while my little boy was still nursing, stopped like 4 times for my wife to feed him and I fished the Eagle River every stop, very literally right off the interstate. Caught a lot of fish too!

Ben, thank you! You have managed to make light of the insanity that is fly fishing… I have spent the last year being truly entertained with your content. Laughing a lot! I have learned a lot, mostly about a good cast, good presentation is way more important a $1200 rod. A good guide is great, but some google maps and an afternoon of bushwhacking can be just as much fun… Fried chicken beats PPJ always. My grandfather was kinda right… “fishing is something to do between beers” I think beers between fish. Thanks again, all the best this new year.

Tuna fishing on the fly is some of the best fishing I have ever done, yes they pull hard and the first one I ever caught my guide said it would be about 24" max and I was like "no way." and low and behold it was a 2' tuna... much fun.

Personally I love the vids with your boys. When my boys were young we used to do a group trip we called The Little Boys Camping Trip. We camped, canoed and fished for 3 days in the western ME mountains. Always a great time and many many laughs. Keep it up

Love your videos Ben! The "huge" amount of work you put into filming and editing really shows. Even though you suck at fly fishing, you don't suck at making fly fishing videos. Ben! maybe show us huge tips on how you pack your rafts for multi-day trips, things you wish people brought (as a guide) or didn’t bring, maybe some montage rant on your worst stories as a guide or things you wished you knew if you were starting over today. Besides fishing with my kid, skiing with him is one of my favorite things ever. Post up a vid with you and the boys or your fam on the hill. For us back east, we can use some snowy scenes about now. Love it! 2023 i probably fished less then usual but it was an absolute banger for me. Got my 9 year old on his first carp on a fly rod, caught my pb carp and a damn near 20lb channel catfish fly fishing, and figured out how to consistently catch walleye in spring and fall on flies at my local lake.

Keep up the content man you're saving the fishy part of my brain from dieing. Renovating our house of 25 years to get it ready for market while trying to keep up with disasters at the new place has resulted in not wetting a line in 2023. I let depression and workaholism steal five years of fishing from me in my late 20's and early 30's. Flyfishing brought me out of it. I gotta get back out there.
