The reason Hodor is naked is told in the books. He hates taking baths and will only get clean in the hot springs. After watching so many reactions, I wish the show had explained that to viewers.

Some GOT trivia (I'm full of these). The Khal Drogo fight scene was not initially planned, but Jason Momoa made a really good point. Khal Drogo is supposed to be the best fighter of them all, terrifying and awesome, but we never actually got to see him fight so far. So he asked the writers to incorporate a fight scene in so we can actually see just how bad ass he is. And it ends up probably being the best fight scene of Season 1.

I think Robb let the spy go, because his overcount would cause to Tywin think the Stark army was larger than it actually was,. That would make Tywin less likely to take aggressive action in some encounters, since he wouldn't be sure of having a numerical advantage. At minimum it would make Tywin overallocate forces to ensure his advantage.

The prevailing theory about the dancing instructor is that he lived and got away, since right as Arya is leaving, you can hear a clattering of metal hitting stone, indicating he disarmed ser Meryn Trant (or hit his helmet off or something)

They're killing everyone in Ned's household, from soldiers to his steward to his master of horse. Up to a certain point, GRRM(the writer of the books)wrote one episode of the season each season. This is the one for season 1. Book notes: Arya notes when she watches Syrio that she realizes he was just toying with her when they practiced. Syrio, with a wooden sword, breaks fingers, crushes throats and gouges out eyes, going for every unarmored bit. However, Ser Meryn Trant(in full plate)is someone he can't defeat, as he rains blows down on it and it does nothing to him until Meryn slashes the sword(which is wood with a lead core to make it heavier to train Arya)in two. Ned feels immense guilt at Roberts death and Varys comforts him(as best he can)by saying that they would have tried to kill Robert soon anyway, as Cersei was finding him too difficult to control. The bodies of the two rangers come back as wights, undead(and they note that the eyes are blue before bringing the bodies back). The body of Jafer Flowers(the other one)returns as well and gets hacked to death and beheaded, but still manages to draw one of the Night's Watch members dagger from his own belt and stabs him to death with it. It's worse in the books. Sansa was the one who told the queen that Ned was going to send her and Arya back to Winterfell, which lead to the queen locking her away so she would have a bargaining chip before Ned made his play and was betrayed. His uncle says that the best part of Tywin died with Joanna Lannister. "Why is he getting replaced?" To hand Jaime the position of Lord Commander, while Kingsguard have always served for life. Barristan served three kings, including Robert(the other two were Aerys, the Mad King and Jaehaerys II. Joffrey also gives a position on the Kingsguard to the Hound(though he refuses to take a knights vows.) Robert spared Barristan and forgave him after he was injured fighting alongside Prince Rhaegar on the Trident, which is why he served him until now. Barristan's presence does honor to anyone who he serves under, which even Tywin notes with disgust at Cersei later(not shown, so not a spoiler). Book version adds Barristan saying maybe Joff's uncle Stannis will sit on the sword when he takes Kings Landing. Joffrey, like a spoiled kid, complains and sends five gold cloaks to arrest him. Barristan takes them down with only a dagger.

@18:55: it is actually the contrary. Robb has 18000 men vs 60000 Lannisters split into 2 armies. The scout overestimated the Stark forces.

Ned shows mercy sometimes, but I think if he'd shown mercy to that prisoner in the first episode and listened to him, it might have been better for everyone.

It appears that the Lannisters will prevail. They have 60,000 men (split into to armies of 30,000 each), the throne, a proven leader in Tywin, and are the richest house. Robb has 20,000 men and is unproven in battle, has few allies, Ned and Sansa are prisoners, and while Arya is free she is also in an enemy city with no allies. Stannis and Renly are wild cards since we know little of their armies although we know Stannis is a proven leader. Daenarys is very naive and doesn't seem to understand what will be required to move the Khalasar to Westeros. Will her attempts to change Dothraki customs backfire?

I'm not really rooting for Drogo over the woman he had raped (and her village burned and temple destroyed, etc.). I also think Daenerys's solution that the men should take the victims as wives. Do they want to be married to men who destroyed their lives? They would still be raped; in fact, being forced into such a marriage could not be anything less. And the men think it would be demeaning to marry them, so you can imagine how they would be treated. And all of this pretty much happened because she convinced Drogo that they should take Westeros.

The last scene in the throne room was a rehearsed display for the court to make Joffrey look strong but also merciful. Both Sansa and Joffrey were acting a script and Cersei was directing them. Even Littlefinger's Varys' and Pycelle's comments were part of the show to make it look real.

Don't take it too hard, you say Sansa is naive, but you are also naive, just saying....

It's going to be so awesome when they destroy the Lannister army and rescue Ned. Ned will make a great king.
