I love the fact that you're at a stand with a gate ;) it really is much bigger than the Cessna 180 haha :)

The prop is a constant speed prop. It maintains a constant RPM by changing the pitch of the blades. With a fine pitch (controller all the way in) you get higher RPM's and the converse for coarse pitch. The friction lock is usually only seen in real aircraft. Due to vibration the throttle can change it's position, so the friction lock is used to lock it in place despite vibration. Ooo naughty fella, you have damage off lol. Maybe I’m the only nerd to notice this but nice job when flying into the cloud! If that ever happens in real life VFR you’re taught to immediately start a 180 degree turn back to the direction you came from. Not sure if you knew that but excellent procedure.

"Throttle friction lock" is a srew at the base of the throttle. The bar of the throttle goes right throug this srew. In real flight it gets verry shaky in the airplane. The vibration can cause the throttle to move slowly and involuntarily. So the srew of the "Throttle friction lock" should be faily tight. On the other hand if it is to tight the pilot needs to use to much force to move the throttle. Therfore the checklist says "adjust throttle friction lock" - not to loose and not to tight. By the way: during take-off and landings the hand of the pilot holds constantly the throttle. (Nice video. thanks!)

Just a little note. She'll take off just fine with flaps set to 0. The only time I use flaps on takeoff is for short field stuff.

BTW if you really want to learn the GPS, the default GPS sux, so do yourself a favour, and get the Reality XP GPS 530W it's a beautiful GPS and is almost complete compared to the real thing.
