I love the original song, but I do not like the over-vibrato in it, for sooo many times, would have been great if done on a few lines, but so many lines?? It reduces the vibrato & expression value when repeated too many times. I think there was definitely a communication mistake from director: They told Mr. Rafi "this song will be shot completely in rain, it will be a sensuous song in chilling climate". And then they shot most of it in a party scene, just the last stanza is in rain. **I am sure it was not Mr. Rafi's mistake** About this performance: I was scared to open the video, I was sure in my mind it was not possible for a stage singer now to replicate what was done in a controlled studio with multiple takes, and of course the unmatchably expressive way the original film performance was. But pleasantly surprised. This singer was very calm, composed, confident, subtle, no-overaction and did great justice to it, he didn't forcibly try to copy Mr Rafi entirely. I am sure he had some fears in mind as well so he did just 1 stanza. Passing it over to the Trumpet was a great idea. Great jazzy improvisation from Trumpet.
