When people first listened to this charming singer’s songs back in 1973 as he sang for Bobby; they fell in love with this melodious baritone voice. And that’s what spelled his doom as well. The established legends immediately spotted a big threat to their domain. Subsequently, they compelled music directors and film-producers to exclude him from contemplation or else they will never lend their voices for those producers. Getting scared of that scenario; the producers obliged and replaced Shailendra with them. Thus a beautiful and promising talent slipped into history and music-lovers were deprived of the golden voice of a rare talent. What a tragedy!
