True..We live in gopalapuram area for four generations near poes garden..those days no Stella Maris college ,no US embassy ,st George's cathedral built in 1900's .. Stella Maris college was an vaccant place which used as military camp ( negro regment )Binny company director and Raja bahadur of jagan petta, Andra Pradesh lives in poes garden.still their family live in poes garden..most of area was an agriculture land .those days gopalapuram was called in different names..i just remember all these stories learn from dad..thanks sir.

1969ல் சென்னைக்கு மயிலாடுதுறையில் இருந்து வந்தேன். பாரிமுனையில் டிராம் ஓடிய தண்டவாளங்கள் இருந்தது. பல்லவன் போக்குவரத்து கழகம். பெரம்பூர் - பாரிமுனை 20 பைசா டிக்கெட். கோடம்பாக்கம் செம்மண் சாலை. மூர் மார்க்கெட்ல் புத்தகம் வாங்கினேன். மிருகக்காட்சிசாலை சுற்றி பார்த்தேன். சிம்சன் கம்பெனி அண்ணன் வேலை பார்த்தார். அதனால் நான் வந்தேன். மன்னடிக்கு சைக்கிளில் 1970ல் போய் வருவேன். சித்தப்பா போலிஸ் குவாட்டர்ஸ். திரு. வி. க நகர், கொளத்தூர் அப்போது இல்லை.

I have met many old aged educated people in my life, some of them are extremely educated but do not have the memory power, some are impatient and remaining are kept quite but Dr. Kantharaj is an extraordinary personality.
