Firing Schedule for frit/dichroic balls (schedules may need adjusting according to your kiln) :
500˚ DPH to 1500˚ hold 10 min.
Firing schedule for tack fusing balls and firing enamel for deep grouting:

Thank you Tanya, for another awesome video. I'd almost given up on producing jewellery pieces but this has re-inspired me and it's something I'll, definitely, use when we are allowed to open up teaching again. I've found, when working with small pieces, that using pieces of oven liner or baking sheet, to work on, really helps. The oven liner is just strong enough to transfer the piece to the kiln shelf (obviously, don't leave it in the kiln) and any spilt enamel just washes right off of it, for reuse. I've also used an adapted version of Tanya's frit ball washing technique. I put all the frit balls, with fired kiln paper, in a fine mesh sieve, hold the sieve in a bowl of warm water, with a drop or two of detergent, and swish the frit balls round with a washing-up brush. The powder from the kiln paper falls through the sieve into the bowl of water (which you can dispose of down an outside drain) and, with a quick rinse, of fresh water, the frit balls are ready to be dried and used. Love, love, love this video! I cannot wait for my supplies to get here! This just looks so FUN! My brain is bursting with ideas of what I can use this technique for.... for example, Christmas ornaments! Also, I have never glued bails or anything because I've always been afraid they might come off. So I spend hours channel grinding and wire wrapping.... OMG...wasn't sure I'd use this because I haven't been doing much jewelry. These are gorgeous!!! I'm thinking of making tiny mosaics to go on a card or using a clear shape for the flower pot and and decorate it like those gorgeous Mexican ones you see-then make flowers for it. All of the advice and great real time demo techniques are so helpful for me to learn and be successful with my pieces. I am so greatful that you take the time to really talk us thru the steps. The thing is....with Tanya's videos.....she's got a topic and that's what the video is about. But what you get is not a boring "how-to" video ( never boring, that's for sure) but you get little snippets of years of fused glass experience that aren't necessarily what you expected to get. So, at least for me, I'm like "wha-what?" and I go back and listen again and a light-bulb goes off above my head that says "D'oh" that's why that happens! So these videos are not only educational, or may not be about a particular type of fused glass that you are interested in creating, but they have these little embedded "treasures" that make the video worthwhile to watch.

I love the simple things taken to another level. I always have a jar of mixed frit balls as I put them in the empty spaces when fusing other things. The settings from AAE are really awesome too as they enhance the look overall. Thanks once again Tanya.
