Aamir's 6 month stance makes no sense in today's times. Pandemic viewing have changed habits of people. Unless a big budget movie is worth it from good word of mouth and cast is likeable, then yes, it makes sense to delay OTT release 2-3 months post theatrical (The Kashmir Files, RRR and KGF Chapter 2 are recent examples.) No one will wait 6 months for its OTT release. The whole 4-5 week post theatrical to OTT release window is and will be the norm.

The way Aamir explains about the economics of the 'theatrical experience vs. OTT' is so good that even the OTT fans will want to change their perspective and want to get into theatres. The only thing I'd hope for is - if a film is releasing in OTT after 6 months, it should be available in theatres in every nook and corner of this world. There used to be times in the past where films wouldn't release in theatres in a certain country and they'd be craving to watch it and they'll turn to piracy to satisfy their craving. If thats taken care of by the film releasing everywhere in the world, it is then a great idea to keep it away from OTT for 6 months.

But many times Vikram & Surya sideline their acting potential and attempted crappy masala films . Vikram is one of the worst script selectors . You will never see Aamir khan doing craps like Etharkum Thunindhavan , Anjaan , Saamy square , 10 endrathukulla etc . From 2000 to 2022 Aamir khan only had 2 flops (Thugs of Hindustan & Mangal Pandey ) . This will itself explain his legacy n

Since Lagaan there is no looking back in 22 years only Thugs & Mangal Pandey (good film) failed in box office . In case of Surya he was delivering craps after craps from 2014 to 2020 . Recently he gave comeback with Jai bheem & Soorarai Potru Incase of Vikram , a great talent wasting his talent in shitty masalas

There is some genuine hatred against LSC in North trending boycott . LSC is a breaking point for aamir khan. Hoping ,he overcome this precarious situation soon. Too bad, despite giving several iconic movies from 2000. He had to be in this situation. one of the taboo in india being a film celebrity is they can't escape from public scrutiny and have be very careful in their personal life & expressing views in public. for those who is barking saying it as a remake This is not a south remake to Hindi like jersey or kabir Singh, etc but a Oscar winner movie so respect it . Let's go and watch and see how well he adopted to this one. Nine year's took to get the remake right and making . Let's respect it. I Know this is going to be a masterpiece ever made in this Indian cinema world. This is different and Aamir knows how to connect emotionally to the audience. This is gonna be 10000 times better than heropanti 2, ek villan returns, etc or those poor non storyline film being made in the Bollywood nowadays. This is rare thing we see in Bollywood nowadays. @@TheGowshikan They love Indian content with relatable drama content / Different attempts. That's why Hindi films like Dangal , Secret superstar , Andhadhun , Hindi medium performed well in China . For a sports film or high budget films they don't prefer India because they have better international films in the same genres . Actually Bollywood cracked Chinese market with drama genre films .

I think I would be very sceptical of a person's character/mildly scared of them if he/she is capable of hating the public persona of someone like Amir Khan, the person being interviewed here! Given that there seems to be so many of those kinds out there, it is quite a disturbing thought- the fact that we happen to live in such a psychologically disturbed society! Hope we recover and learn to accept and love ourselves enough in order to not feel the need to feed on hatred and negativity!
