He's limited by the amount of raw footage he can use per video, and also probably by editing time if he wants to get it out before the race

Yeah man. Ben needs to be doing this all the time. Fantastic presenter and the fact that all the riders themselves watch the line choice analysis just shows you how valuable Ben's insights are. Rad video Pinkbike. 👌

I absolutely love these inside the tape vids with BC!! Not only does it give us an inside scoop on lines etc but a little fun and entertainment with different riders as well like the bit with Aaron Gwin and his 29er. All around great stuff and anyone that's smart and rides can learn a bit about picking lines as well. Great Job Cathro!!!

Add more on screen overlays to better demonstrate the different lines. Build a template in Premiere for next year to speed up the overlay edit. Bin the split screens and try some ghost images on a locked off camera rig with two angles per section. Fantastic content. Oh and get Red Bull to fund you to do the same for the XC next year.

Thanks for the great vids.....how about a "snail trail" in various colors that would follow the different riders down a section....that way you can get a bike graphics overlay to demonstrate what you are putting in words.

It's for two reasons mainly, 1: so that slower riders or riders with issues know how close the rider behind them is, that's probably the most important reason as it's critical for safety. 2: I'd assume another reason is so that the next Marshall down knows a rider is coming, if that Marshall was helping or paying attention to a downed rider, he wouldn't notice the next rider coming so if he hears the whistle he knows to get that flag up and warn the next rider.
