Fun Fact: The flag flying underneath the US flag in the video and lyrics is the Gadsden flag. It was the flag flown by the continental marines during the revolutionary war, and is commonly flown by libertarians like myself that don't believe in a large overreaching government, and instead the ideals of what this country really should be. A lot of people are poorly educated about this, and actually believe this is some sort of racist flag, similar to how the confederate naval/battle flag is viewed. These two flags have absolutely NOTHING to do with each other, and if someone picked up a book and read a bit they would be able to grasp this. No doubt even this comment will illicit a volley of people accusing me of being a kkk member or something for even suggesting I might fly this flag. It's really sickening how people are so oversocialized and underinformed.

Lots of fun facts about this song and the artist, Aaron Lewis is the lead singer of Staind, he's doing country as a side project while doing his Staind stuff too. The other guy singing is the late George Jones and the fiddler you heard near the beginning was the late Charlie Daniels. This was Aaron's first country song, so to have 2 country legends on his first country track is HUGE!

My grandfather played with Charlie Daniels I met him several times as a child here in Florida he played in my grandparents living room at night RIP 🙏 side note I met Staind as a up and coming band and got all of their autographs in 2001 including Aaron Lewis

Aaron is from Western Massachusetts. Before he became famous, I used to watch Staind perform at local bars. He genuinely still lives in the sticks.

I was born and raised in the city in Denver Colorado and I can tell you that this song sums up how I feel I would love to just go live out in the country away from all these crazy people who hate America and vandalize my car cuz I have an American flag sticker on it yes you heard me right I've had my window smashed out my tire slashed and you want to know something that American flag sticker is still on my car have a good day and hello from America

Darius Rucker from Hootie & the Blowfish crossed over to Country music back in 2008. He's a southern guy at heart and has been a huge success in the country music genre. Daz, check out Wagon Wheel (Official Video) it may be a good song to add to your country song playlist that you like to sit and relax to. I think Darius has one of the best voices in whatever music genre he chooses to sing.
