The way I understood it was that currently, none of Reddick's salary is guaranteed. So before you even get into an extension and all the rest, you need to address that first. Not going to lie -- I think Reddick would be crazy to go into a 1-year non-guaranteed contract at his age. You want to at least make it so that your players (the good ones, anyway) aren't facing a small-probability but legit nightmare scenario.

hey BJF , i'm having a personal event right now , can i call in sick too ? from the beach .. typical of reddick to no show , he is a ME player ,not a team player , ugh.. as far as rodgers no-show = we have to live with mr. diva's choices ... glad to see tyrod working with A-team , he will need to be ready anytime , anywhere ,any game this season ..

Relax. It’s a business. These situations are a part of it. It would have been wise to negotiate a contract before the trade, but here we are. Huff got his contract and he is not as dynamic (run/pass defense) as Reddick. You don’t want to work for less than you’re worth, right?! Same for these guys. He’s not playing this season under a $14mm (not guaranteed) contract. That was never going to happen.

every team, every year has players that are either late or don't show up for mandatory mini camp. Not exclusive to Jets. Don't make everything negative.

The one thing that I can count on is fan overreaction and negativity on every single piece of information available. Every team has issues, both major and minor. R-E-L-A-X.
