This offense will be geared towards the running game and the short passing game w yac. With the occasional shot over the top. That’s how you win in December in the AFC East.

One other fun fact about rodgers in the playoffs.... Anytime he has gotten the ball under 2 minutes he's either tied it or scored. Never been stopped. There's been a couple times where he hasn't been clutch in the 5-6 minute range. But generally speaking the defense couldn't stop the run well enough to get him one last shot at scoring(or gave up a score in OT). Happened in these years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2020, 2021 I swear he's not as un clutch as people say... but not Mahomes or Brady level or clutch

Mike Williams and Corley are our only additions, and they are both suspect from an injury and inexperience standpoint. So we'll see... Like you keep saying, they could be good or inadequate. If Garrett and Breece are healthy we'll be okay.

Does Rodgers still have a great arm and a great football mind? Yes. Can he at least still move around in the pocket? Probably. Does he have the most complete team he's had since his early years as a starter? Yes. We don't need the best or even a great WR room, we just need the defense to play the way it has for the last 2 years and our offense to be effective. Not prolific, just effective. I think everything is in place for that to happen.

AR has always had issues with a pass rush. The packers had one of the best offensive lines in football and arguably the best WR in football. Plus the Packers had a huge home field advantage. Saying he has the most complete team is very far fetched. The left tackle has not played a full season in 8 years and is on the other side of 30. The right tackle is over 30. The best guard is brittle and has missed two of his three pro seasons. There is no backup RB and no number two receiver. Garrett Wilson is good but he’s not Devante Williams. So….this team is far from complete and has a ton of offensive question marks not to mention the 41 year old QB coming back from ACL.

@@RealisticJetsFan if you want to be pessimistic go right ahead but nothing I said is wrong. Davante Adams didn't break out until 2016, the last productive year Jordy Nelson had as a Packer. Randall Cobb for as great a role player as he is, was an average 2nd or above average WR 3 by the time Adams broke out. He has more overall talent surrounding him now than he did since he had Nelson/Jennings/Jones/Driver to throw to. Green Bay's defense has allowed less than 20 points three times while Aaron Rodgers was QB but allowed 24+ four times while he was there they've been average or below average more often than not. Your argument about backup RBs is pointless because no one knows how good Braelon Allen or Isaiah Davis will be until they play. Garrett Wilson has had two 1k seasons with undoubtedly the worst QB room in the league the last 2 years, Adams didn't even reach 1k until his 4th year while playing with AR throughout his entire career. You want to say Wilson's not as good as peak Adams, fine by me but he's already more productive than Adams was in his first three years. Say what you want about the o-line but the team as a whole is the best one that has ever surrounded Rodgers. Being a "realistic" Jets fan doesn't mean that you can't see any positives and only linger on the negatives. BJF was right, you really should change your name.

I’m shocked! Just really shocked you would think this and then take the time to write it and then actually hit send. Corey Davis was signed as a free agent and at the time paid like a number 1 WR. He got 37.5 million dollars and missed about half the games. He then quit on the team on the last year. He caught 6 touchdowns in two years and maybe had a 1000 yards combined. Please explain why any team wants this guy?

Rodgers is more mobile than Marino. Point is well taken: Marino gets the benefit of the doubt as the best passer, possibly in NFL history. With underwhelming receivers, 5'9 Mark Duper & Clayton as his go-to's. But, writers today are perpetually obtuse. Older writers could care less what your vaccination views are.

If Rodgers plays 15 games averages around 265 yards per game, equating to 4K and throws 32-35 TDs tad over 2 per game AND the jets win 12 games I could see Rodgers winning MVP. Don’t be surprised if this is his output this season

It sounds like to me that he is going to be a "break glass in case of emergency" option if there are WR Injuries or poor play. If getting Adams means the final piece to SB victory then do it by any means necessary which is what the Rams did a few years back. Yes, they have been in salary cap hell ever since, but Jets fans will gladly take if it means finally winning it all!! Hope all is well Kevin. I've been in Euros and Copa mode but will get back into NFL in August! Take care!

I used to work with a huge packers fan. He hated Rodgers the last few years but he 100% agreed that Rodgers at some point was basically carrying the team to the playoffs every year. They consistently failed to replace key players and give him a complete team. He just got a little bit too old to be able to overcome the deficiencies of the rest of the team. It's what it is.

I’m a packer fan, and I know many people like this. The shame of it is most packer fans let false narratives affect their opinion of him as a person or player. But anybody saying he was any significant part of the reason they never won another SB is just a hater…look at the numbers…he has been a great playoff QB objectively.
