In the years of old, yeah. Not anymore. Brady could have kept playing if he wanted to. He obviously lost the drive. Aaron still has the drive and the 1 year because of the injury could turn out being the best thing that could have happened to his longevity.

Problem becomes the fifth year option. As the price to retain goes up considerable for a QB after the rookie contract. Hence packers decision to move from Rodger’s as love is set for a big contract and hasn’t played a snap yet to see if he was the next guy

My heart breaks for Zach… the way his tenure was handled from the get go was a mess. 😢 he deserves better. He’s grown a lot and didn’t get a fair shot to show his skills. He had no protection a lot of the time and was put through the ringer with regime changes, system changes, o line was never healthy. It takes a mental toll to go from starter, to backup, to starter again, to backup to second string, to starter, to third string, to starter again. No consistency for this kid. And under the spotlight of NY media And he’s such a good kid… handled it all with grace… As much as I don’t want to see him go, he deserves to find the right team with the right weapons the right offensive coordinator the right head coach, the right o line, and really let his talents flourish and let it rip

A lot of people just want to be doomers on the team, the decision to get Rodgers, and next year. While there should be criticism and blame pointed certain ways, I don’t understand why people can’t just be thankful we have an actual quarterback on this team for once. The age argument is pretty stupid honestly, especially when he’s one of the greatest to ever play the position. I’m looking forward to next year with renewed optimism as all of us fans should be. Have some faith people, and whatever happens 8 months from now we’ll deal with then

I wish Aaron the best but when he steps on the field in September he will have essentially not played in a game in almost 2 years. Look at how poorly Deshaun Watson played after an extended hiatus. Now realize Aaron is 40. I don’t think he’ll be the same qb.

Let me say this I know there's some people that hate Aaron Rodgers and there are some people that love Aaron Rodgers I know it's a hate love relationship. But there will never be another Aaron Rodgers just like there will never be Patrick mahomes or another Brett favre. Us humans we are not perfect we all fall short of the glory of God through Christ Jesus. Born and raised in Madison Wisconsin a Big Green Bay packer fan. I still have the newspapers that I collected in 2011 when Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers won. I have Aaron Rodgers and a frame with him holding a trophy. On the left side of Aaron Rodgers I have Clay Matthews and on the right side of Aaron Rodgers I have Donald driver showing his favorite pose position. I like these newspapers because they look like posters and it has their status their weight their height the college that they went to and how many years they've been playing. I have almost all the players of that season but I need to put the rest of them in frames. But apart from that even though Aaron Rodgers is not with Green Bay no more I'm still rooting for him to get that but apart from that even though Aaron Rodgers is not with Green Bay no more I'm still rooting for him to get that one last super bowl. Jets don’t need him to be mvp Aaron. They will be run heavy with breece next season and with Aaron + better o line breece will be more dominant. Most of the defense is returning. Run game + top 3-5 defense all Aaron’s needs is manage the game and come through in clutch moments if needed which he can do
