Aaron Rodgers shares his experience with Ayahuasca. How did this experience contribute to Aaron Rodgers's life? What lessons did Aaron Rodgers learn?
In a sports world where every word and every action is scrutinized by pundits and bloggers alike, it is rare that an athlete at the top of the game shares the raw and vulnerable truth. On this unprecedented podcast, Super Bowl winning quarterback Aaron Rodgers opens up with radical authenticity about his challenging journey to self love, and the Ayahuasca experience that preceded his back to back MVP seasons. This is a look behind the veil of one of the greatest and most enigmatic superstars of our time, as he reclaims the narrative of his own story.
Among many other topics, we discuss the necessity to see beyond the polarity of political partisanship, his actual beliefs on the pandemic, and what it means to be a leader both on and off the field. I am honored to call him a friend and brother, and grateful to share this podcast full of laughter, tears, and most importantly: heart.

Aaron. I had the same exact experience. I'm nowhere near your status. I'm not a NFL MVP. But I talked to myself for atleast 3 hours. To that voice in my head. It showed me what I was becoming and made me come to truth with so many things in my life. It opened my eyes so wide. I cried for hours. I truly destroyed that part of me or whatever it was. The evil or what it was. I believe it saved me from myself. It definitely changed me mentally and spiritually. I'm thankful for it.

Psilocybe Cubensis saved my life. Was homeless, junked out to a severe level I probably had not much time left. Bumped into an old friend, and he handed me a large bag, about 12-14 grams. Ate em all... Now I'm doing very well, my mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health are in good places. My home is beautiful and I grow medicine. This really is sacred medicine, and needs to be respected as such. ALL MY RELATIONS, and follow the Medicine Wheel.

It sucks that the media is spinning Aaron's quote about "Ayahuasca taught me to unconditionally love myself." They're spinning it as "Aaron's such a narcissist. Even ayahuasca just teaches him to love himself more." If you listen to that quote IN CONTEXT, you realize he's saying "I've privately thought deep down for a long time that I'm a piece of sh*t person, and the aloofness perceived as narcissism was a defense mechanism to distance my emotions from the self-hatred I'd feel when people point out all the things I hate about myself too." He's saying ayahuasca made him love himself enough that he could accept being a flawed person that isn't afraid to interact more openly and no longer is trying to appear above others to disguise feeling below others. That's not a message of narcissism. That's a message of transcending trauma. And whether we all disguise our self-hatred by photoshopping ourselves or exaggerating our accomplishments or insulting others to feel above them or acting aloof and distance like Aaron did, we ALL are doing some variation of distracting ourselves from the hard work of grappling with who we actually are, and loving that unique mess of traits for its attempt to try to find purpose and meaning before death. Then extending that same grace towards all the equally worthy "flawed" people around us. If extending love and forgiveness to ourselves and others is treated as "narcissism", then apparently hatred of self and others is implied as "humility". In reality, hatred is the most arrogant of all traits. It's the one that acts like it has the right to destroy the hopes and happiness of yourself, and the hopes and happiness of others. The people vocalizing the most hatred towards Aaron for this, are the ones showing true narcissism in the kneejerk dismissal of a sustained medicinal practice for thousands of years with profound psychological benefits.

Thanks for sharing your experience... Ayahuasca offers as many options as there are options available... to be your own Physio/Psycho Therapist I remember after my first weekend thinking and know that I did the equivalent of a lifetime of therapy in two very intense nights... And a few different folks came up to me after and mentioned how much my posture had improved... And then I realized that all the emotional release let my spine erect on its own.... It unwound all this tension in my nervous system.... I've gone far deeper since... but from that first journey, it realize it helped me be one of the most physically and psychically flexible people that I know... But it's a pretty grizzly path to get over the hump... we have many layers of programming to work through if we were born in most parts of North America.... It takes a fair bit of intestinal fortitude to keep going deeper into the worst of yourself.... to begin to excavate the Chrystal's and gems... the inner Geo Gods within. The Indigenous of many cultures are often ahead of the game in that way because they have less layers of programming to dig through as they evolve... But there is a robustness that can only be built/received Through wading through the sticky stinky prickly past, present and Potential future.... that is worth the temporary pain... actually agony If you're being honest with yourself about who u were... A robustness that is the sturdy stance that allows a relaxation... That allows a clear flow of pure creative energy to flow through the body... the mind ... And gives a spacious access to the thoughts and energies and sounds and all the surrounding frequencies... a sort of harmony with the grid of All Things And things that are not things... ❤❤❤

I’ve just had my first Ayahuasca experience last week, I had 4 ceremonies and over all they were gentle and loving. I was shown things through other peoples eyes, was taught lessons in respect, trust and love. I regressed back to a childhood trauma, battled my fears and won, ironed out issues I have in relationships with family members and friends. The only experience I had which was too real for my liking was coming into contact with aliens. During the 4th ceremony I was essentially in surgery the whole time. Mother Ayahuasca was doing intense repair work on me and I could feel parts of my body click and move as if being realigned somehow. But during this experience of being in surgery I left mother Ayahuasca and was taken into a dark room with an eerie green glow. I saw three small grey aliens and to say they looked real is an understatement. I felt overwhelmed and as though I wasn’t ready to experience this. The next thing I knew I was face down on a table, like a massage type table with a hole to put my face through. I could then see the aliens walking around me, doing things but even though I felt they were doing something to me I didn’t feel a thing physically. I could see their hands and legs and one of them was giving me reassuring hand gestures as if to tell me I was doing ok and everything will be fine. This part is the most real to me, i felt like I was genuinely taken away from where I was and was in a dark eerie room. Whether it was real I don’t know but it felt very significant to me and I’m still struggling to understand what it all meant and why it happened

If you listen to near death experience interviews there are many similarities with Hallucinogen experiences. I've always told people that haven't used them that it's another tool used to connect with our (Creator-Spirit-Soul) It's truly life changing and will give you a new perspective on life. It's awesome watching former military soldiers talking about their experiences and helping with their PTSD, Depression and Anxiety. I was bitten by a rare tick in Thailand when I was on holidays there. It nearly killed me. The doctor told me and my friends that were in the room that I was dying and would not survive. When I accepted I was going to die, I felt all burden from my life being lifted off my shoulders, I was completely at peace with dying. It was such a strange feeling of warmth and love. My body started reacting to one of the medicines the doctors were administering to me and I recovered a few weeks later. But that initial period of accepting my morality is truly one of the happiest times of my life. So strange……edit - the time from being bitten by the tick and the doctor telling me I was going to die was around 4 weeks. I was extremely sick in intensive care when he told me they had tried everything and my body wasn’t reacting to the medicine and my organs are slowly shutting down.

I've done it in a forest and also in the jungle. There's nothing comparable to the jungle. It's the most alive place on planet Earth. Bursting with life. The only word I can use to describe it is "magic", because it's that much different. It's almost like another planet. But in reality, it's the most intense manifestation of our planet. And within that environment, that context, one can vibrate at maximum potential.

Wherever anyone goes in Costa Rica for Ayahuasca they should consider coming to my center after. I live in the mountains on an organic finca with 2 horses and a donkey. My center is called Socrates Center and it is a soft landing for folks after they've had the mind altering experience of any of these plant medicines. To not integrate is to not only disrespect the plants, but on the other end of the spectrum could cause a not so pleasant psychotic break.

Psychedelics are the reason why i didn’t take my life when i was at my end. I was stripped of my ego and saw the beauty of life and interconnectivity and even though i still battle anxiety and depression, I’m doing better everyday and will never think in such a self destructive way again.

LSD and mushrooms completely changed my whole outlook on life. I became a better version of myself This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body. A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken. One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot. It gave me a lot of hope that things will be fine, this is the one thing that I heard throughout the trip: Everything is alright. The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me (although it's not gone). Before all I could do was lay in bed. Now I am trying to rebuild my life one step at a time which wasn't possible before."

I've never taken Ayahuasca, but I went through Ego Death on Psilocybin about 15 years ago.. To this day one of the most profound experiences of my entire life. Not in a good way. It was horrific. I wasn't ready. I've heard stories from other people (like Aaron) who were able to make it through the experience and experience a magical "rebirth".. I wasn't able to fully surrender to it because it was so incredibly terrifying. I can't begin to put it into words.

Aaron Rodgers needs to continue doing the medicine work so he can move beyond his faux-enlightened persona. As someone who has been working with both Aya and Huachuma for decades, he strikes me as a classic new convert. Keep going brother, you'll be truly and deeply humbled past this stage.

Aho Brother! Your courageous and an inspiration to all. I just had my 6-7th Ayahuasca experience just recently and I’m still integrating.
