Rodgers isn't dumb, he knew exactly what he was doing. He knew last year he was done and knew if he was still with Green Bay this season he would get benched for Love very early into season and his career would be done that way....So he suckers NY into signing him with alot of money and hype. I just can't believe the Jets fan base bought into bringing in a 40 year old QB who clearly had fallen off last year would be their savior LOL. I guess they saw Brady do what he did and thought maybe Rodgers could too.... Rodgers is NO Brady.

Imagine you’re a Jets fan. You got caught in a little traffic headed to the game. You miss kickoff but it’s fine. You get to your seat and you look at the clock. There’s 11 minutes left in the 1st quarter. You only missed 4 minutes! You get fired up and you look down at the field and see Zach Wilson about to take the snap. “Wtf where is Aaron Rodgers?”, you ask the guy sitting next to you. “He hurt his ankle and was helped off the field. He’s in the locker room right now” It’s slowly begins to settle in: you were 5 minutes late to the game, and you’ll never see Aaron Rodgers in a Jets uniform

It is either that the way it tore and the way he registers pain made it less immediately painful than normal or he was already on something for pain. I think he was probably already on something for pain. They may have actually shot it into the same leg he tore it in since he apparently may have been having calf issues. I have seen many Achilles tears (on youtube) and they always instantly fall or stay on the ground and roll around and grab the back of their leg.

The look on Rodgers' face when he tried to get up after that tackle, he knew right away something was wrong. I'm surprised he was even standing since tearing your Achilles is extremely painful. The worst part about this injury was that it was a clean tackle. The NFL need to ban turf field.

Depends how it tears. If the tendon comes lean off the bone, as when I did it, there is not a lot of pain, but it sucks. You know right away something is seriously effed up. That is actually how I knew it was his Achilles immediately - lack of any real pain.

I tore my Achilles tendon snowboarding about 5 years ago. My boot was too loose while carving and pow. It was a goner. I did a hard carve on my toe edge to a stop and boom. 5 years later while it has indeed healed well, it’s not the same. I’m 26 now, I was 21 at the time of this happening. This injury is a rough one. Aaron is nearly 40 and his joints and muscles are getting older. I can’t imagine the physical toll that football puts on someone’s body when they’re in their prime 20’s, much less nearly 40. Best of wishes for his recovery, but I’m seriously afraid his career as a ball player is done.

I got off work like 10 minutes before kickoff and I made it home literally just to see his leg snap. Like as a jets fan I had been waiting for this for a decade and it’s over in 1 minute 😭

I’m a Pats fan so I have to hope for the Jets to lose…BUT NOT LIKE THIS! I feel so bad for him and his long road to recovery ahead. I also love that the Jets pulled it off against the Bills and wish them the best going forward!

This is insane, who the hell did he get up and walk with a complete tear. That adrenaline is no joke.

Played with a guy that tore his. We actually heard the POP. He walked from the basketball court to his car. Took a year and a half for him to play again.

It sounded like a gun shot, right? I’ve seen a video of an old guy who popped it an screamed so loud it terrified me. I’ll try to link it

They’re saying he may have ruptured his Achilles! If that’s the case that may be the last time we see Aaron Rodgers playing QB in the NFL. I hope not. That would be a really sad way to end your career

Yeah just cruise through preseason, stretching and workouts not necessary. He is 39 and the oldest player in the league. What could go wrong?

@@jimmurphy834goes to show, the older you get the more you have to strategically take care of your body. The older you get the less invincible you become. Sad to see Rodgers go out though.

Felt this pain. I remember when commanders picked up Fitzpatrick because we needed a QB bad and he got hurt in the second drive I believe

Seriously? Aaron Rogers has been quoted as saying he felt no pain,@@bobbywest8460? I find that incredulous at best.
