This performance is emotionally exhausting! First he makes you laugh, then he makes you cry and finally he has you beating your pillow in anger because you want him so bad (which is my typical response to all Aaron videos).

This song had it all: humor, poignancy, and Aaron Tveit. I love how he turns the emotion in a moment from funny to heart-wrenching. Amazing song and amazing performance!

Even when he's just singing and there's not really a need to be in character, Aaron is in character! Love that! I also love how he does that even when it's not his character!

trustmeimnotthedoctor And yet you still like Doctor Who... ;) Trust me when I say that I am a HUGE fan of Doctor Who, but I just found your statement a bit (quite a bit, truthfully) ironic. At least you don't watch Supernatural, but if you do - that's cool! It just makes your statement EVEN more ironic. ;) Sorry, I just really wanted to point out the irony of your statement. Because Doctor Who is a roller coaster of emotions. Well, that is if you watch all the series and not just the series with Matt Smith. I found David Tennant's series to be one of the largest roller coasters of them all! I mean with Rose, Donna, that one episode where he tried to change a woman's fate (Wow, that helped you understand which episode I was talking about [that was sarcastic {sorry, I just always have to explain to people that I am being sarcastic - how depressing}]) well, his generation, of course. -A Fellow Doctor Who (Run and Always Bring a Banana to a Party and Remember Bow Ties Are Cool, Raggedy Man. And That Eyebrows Mean Authority.) and Aaron Tveit Fan Do I talk too much? (I Could Be in Love With Someone Like You -The Last Five Years) Yup. Sheesh!
@viewofsaturday15 жыл бұрын
i agree with you. it's subtle but so human, and he makes you sympathize with him instantly! and it really stands out in next to normal- he's such a powerful character, but such a normal unassuming guy in real life. when he turns on though... its just breathtaking.

This guy has a quality that compels me to sit and watch and listen to every phrase and note. Like so many good singers, he has a bag of voices for the whole gamut of sad, joyful, comic and serious. But on top of that, his voice, as in the chorus, is like listening (if it were at all possible) to the pouring of vocal liquid gold. Love it.

i absolutely agree. he's one of those performers that pulls you in as you watch him. although if you listen to him singing without the benefits of pitch correction, it's often a little all over the grid, being able to see him perform the song is what makes it so wonderful.
