I too would find that immensely useful as the more I understand about my MS, the less frightened I feel about it. I realise that many patients feel the opposite way and really would rather know as little as possible as it scares them more and that’s ok xx

It would be awesome if you would map the brain and describe the functions of the different parts. Is it even possible to do a map with related functions? It blows my mind (it actually hurts my brain) to think about mapping out brain function, but it is such an interesting topic.

What I want to know is where the white spots are, how does it affect you? For example, I have a lesion on my brain stem. What symptoms might I experience ?

I have lesions on my brain stem as well. As I understand, they cause more problems than lesions elsewhere in the brain, because there isn't as much possibility for the brain to reroute signals around them.

He even said he double chk to make sure he had the right patient. Maybe go through some MRI'S & tell us what kinda symptoms the patient's have or any additional details about their treatment.

That is a YES, for me as well. When I got the diagnosis in 2021, I looked for these kinds of images. I wanted to know that what was on my brain, other MS patients had as well. Also that you explain to us what we see, where we see it and what part of our body it’s effect. Last December I had a new attack and instead of being in the brain it was now in my spine. That news freaked me out. As I looked online I could not find the information I wanted. Oke long story short, teach me as much as you can! Thanks for all you have taught me already. You have given me a peace of mind when I have had questions. I wish we had a neurologist like you in the Netherlands.

Miranda, when I set my MRI appointments up with diagnostic center I ask them right up front if I can have a disk. And when I check in at the fronts desk I remind them I would like a disk (cd) with my images. And as I getting buckled in for the ride I ask the MRI technician if I can have my disk before leaving. I understand the the radiologist may not be able to complete their report that soon & I wouldn't want them to. when im done I think everybody but the parking attendant knows I'm expecting to take home a new CD that day.

Dear doctor, I am impressed by your knowledge on the area of MS and I do appreciate you sharing so much information with us. I have had debilitating and worsening symptoms for 15 years and I have been unable to walk for a year now. Finally, I found a doctor that listened to me (Neurologist) and ordered tests and a brain MRI. It seems there’s miscommunication between my doctor and the radiologist regarding my symptoms and MRI findings, which are not normal and show lesions. I live in Florida and I’d love to be able to have your opinion but I don’t know if that would be something remotely possible…I hope so, I really need a light and someone knowledgeable to finally give me answers to my debilitating long conditions. I will be looking forward to your kind comments

One of my.radiology reports described "numerous" lesions. I let my neurologist know that I considered that to.be a total BS description! Numerous? Really? !# So as you move ahead with this excellent series you've got started here, it would be good to hear at what point we stop counting lesions & what sort of a prognosis or outcome that may indicate. I understand now that T1 black holes are more likely sites of greater damage, but if T2 lesions don't advance to T1, could they / should they eventually heal go away & how long might that take? If so, I'd think a lesion inventory & tracking would be important. Maybe my neurologist has never looked at my scans with me bc they aren't sure how well I will or won't be able to handle the "truth"
