All jokes aside I really appreciate that Rip does these podcasts for us. I can picture a guy like rip not having any interest in talking to a camera for over an hour as much as he does. But he does it anyways. This is my favorite podcast on the internet and we’re very fortunate that Rip does them for us!

That’s funny because to me it’s pretty obvious that part of Rip is living out the fantasy of a longtime wannabe shock-jock or AM radio crank. This show is full of throwbacks to Imus, Art Bell, Limbaugh and all those grumpy old psycho prima-donnas. Guys that clearly wanted to be rock stars or movie stars but had to settle for the next best thing because they were fat old antisocial weirdos, but still felt compelled by their giant egos to put on some sort of show so they just rant into the night to their audience of disgruntled impotent suburban dads, gun nuts and militia dorks. It’s rather obvious that no one has to twist his arm to do this, he’s only made hundreds of hours of content.

Hi there, Jan from Norway here. Thanks for posting my email. I bet my situation is not at all uncommon: having come to want my youth strength back again with correctly adopted and applied methods etc. Motivating to know that I can make a "recovery" at my age (not being that strong helps a lot of course haha). Have been reading/watching/practicing a lot lately on technique, just focusing on the lifts advocated. Sure has been helpful! Must have done a shitload of errors previosly.. Anyway, just to add.. I actually have a proper power rack, remnants of my old home gym, but the Olympic bar/weights are long gone. I swear that if I had known this situation with the pandemic shutting down everything was coming I would of course have acted prior to this and bought the needed equipment, but who could have dreamed up the current scenario? That said, they are opening up again.. sort of promised by end of June. A lot to be said about all this but my mouth is closed.. So when we are back to working full day and earning our salaries ie. not being laid off, back to paying the house mortage, and by then the supply and demand situation for gym equipment has normalized, I will prepare for the next pandemic by buying a complete set.. Be sure!

It’s funny you mention Sam Elliott because that’s who I first thought of the first time I started watching this channel. I always think about the scene with him as a Ghost Rider at the end of the 2007 Ghost Rider movie, that and his closing monolouge before the credits roll. Edit: Try Yorkshire tea, much better than PG Tips.

Hi Rip, when I sleep, my O2 sometimes goes to 0 for several hours at a time. Once when this happened I even flew through a portal and ended up next to bill starr who called me a fat undercooked meatball, I guess in reference to my obesity and general pinkish hue. I then woke up in the ER. Do I have sleep apnea? Thanks!

44:22 rip discussing rehabing his Achilles tendon rupture is almost accurate, but taking the heel lifts out early was a sign of hubris. As a doctor 👨‍⚕️, it’s clear that ALL TENDONS HEAL. They ALL heal 100% of the time. What determines the successful function of that tendon is the TENSION at which that tendon heals. An Achilles rupture will 100% heal without surgery, but likely in a lengthened, slack position, UNLESS you insert a large heel lift and this will allow immediate weight bearing and all the rupture to heal at a proper tension.
