Thanks John just did it last month in the truck. Just something to look be prepared for. people in the north country like me. You will most likely snap a few transmission pan bolts. The Tap is M6x1 Also for filling the transmission check out my hose and funnel video. Vaseline holds the check valves and orings. Long story shorty if I am full throttle I can keep burning the tires in third when my Tundra shifts. The truck does tow better as well.

I like how clean and organized you are. First sign you are good at what you do. I watched another video before this and guy had everything drenched in oil and his workplace was a mess.

And I pretty much shoved a mini flathead up the sensor housing and cracked the solinoid wire housing, no yanking wire harness. Slid off pretty easy

Thank you for the VERY helpful video. I have very limited mechanical skills and I was able to do this myself. I will note that you should invest in a good AWL, I bout a cheap one that kept bending and wouldn't dislodge the white & black connectors. Ended up uses a pair of needle nose pliers and nicked the insulation on one of the copper wires...

Correction orange temp sensor goes on the Driver's side as it is installed in the vehicle. Trans is upside down in video

I have a feeling most of the folks doing this mod themselves can tell the difference and know that was just a slip. I noticed this as well when he mentions it in the video. If you noticed how the harness is designed, you really can't screw it up because then the harness won't lay right.

Ty for the confirmation, but why wont my transmission shift beyond 4th gear? All solinoids are new, but I get a different Solinoids reading during diagnosis. Resulting to flashing and recalibrating ECM/PCM/TCM.

what happens if you've over tighten one side of the vale body? I've done that and now the auto trans only goes to full 4 speed after it has been running for 10 mins. Should I go back down there and tight everything evenly before my next trans oil change?

K, the code reads pressure control Solinoid A, the SL1 Clutch control#1, which controls 1,2,3,4, but it doesn't shift up to 5 or 6 😂🤣😅 I'm going out of my mind

Will it hurt anything if I keep my truck locked out of 6th gear for around town driving? My toyota tundra will sometimes lug itself around in 6th in that 35 to 45 mph range

Hi, I have an 05 tundra with shifting problems. Drives good from 1st to 2nd or say 30 mph or if I whack it; 50mph then it revs freely. and if I floor some more it wud engage with a very violent thud like I got smacked in the rear. Throws up code P2716. What's your advice?

so basically transmission doesn't really "go out" its the valve body? so if my trans is slipping and hard shifting even after flush. replace valve body?

hi i have similar this transmission for tundra 2010 the problem is always when i make test drive the code is P2757 tcc performance or stock off i"ll do and make everything but it still come the fault code when i test drive can you help me where is the possible trouble of this type off fault code?

with the spings and cylinders why to do want them to be sent to you with the valve body ? do you send different spings ?

Hey thanks for sharing that video i have a Lexus is250 I have a code solenoid c stuck off I took out the valve body but there's a problem i thing we're piston go there spring i don't know we're go

John, Would this kit help Towing. I want to stay in 6th gear longer. At this time I barely press the gas and the truck shifts down. IIts 500hp so it does not need to shift down. Call me pickey but really I gently press the gas and it shifts down to 5th. If I was towing 10K I understand but I tow a 4,000 it should hold 6th I want to press more throttle. When I am not towing I can press down and the truck goes and it does not shit until you goose it pretty good. What happens is unless I am doing 80 with the camper this thing hunts back and forth between 5 and 6th most of the ride. Lets just say It not to my liking.
