Abandoned and forgotten house after owners passed away. Canada Explore #37
This house has been abandoned for approx. 9 years. There is lots of personal items left behind here and it has also been trashed by vandals.
Norman and Shirley got married in 1944. In 2004 they received a congratulations from the Local M.P. and the House of Commons Canada for their 60th wedding anniversary. Sadly Shirley died 2 years later in 2006 at the age of 79. Years later Norman died in 2010 at the age of 88.
The couple had one son named Ron. Ron passed away 2 years later in 2012 at the age of 54.

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

no morals or values in some people left . decimated . and they do same to people 's cottages and sheds , when simply left for few months even . we all who have values left , need to keep showing others by example , and hopefully one at a time , by next generation or 2 , things can begin to turn again . keep being the example you want to see in people carolyn ! best to you .

It got to me too. Seeing a name and a face really makes it real. The fact their son passed so young also, is rather sad. It wasn't a pretty house, but it was their home. It's so sad seeing houses sitting like this, especially when we know of the people who lived there. Tugged at me a little too...

It certainly is disrespectful and sad, but "hate" is far worse than this. You're speaking as though a bunch of grown ups did this, it was children who got carried away and there's nothing wrong with their morals. Who are you people who judge blindly and who are you who thumbs up ?

This makes me so sad 😞 that was someone’s life in there - the parents were pretty old but I don’t think they left their house in that bad of condition - it could have been very cluttered but not tore up like that - the son might have lived there with them but he died fairly young - really believe vandals made it that bad - that poor couple would be so sad to see that

The drone footage was just perfect; such a nice addition to your video. At 11:48 that is a cake topper for a 25th Wedding anniversary. The first medication bottle you picked up was Warfarin, a blood thinner. Sad but they had a long and happy marriage. Nice find.

It's a damn shame vandals can't just leave well enough alone. I love the rare homes that are abandoned with items inside undisturbed and decaying naturally. It takes a long time in many cases, for any significant damage to occur inside. As long as the house remains mostly sealed against the elements things can stay preserved for so long.

Such a sad story. Its a shame people have vandalised a beautiful home let alone a home that was once filled with love. I wonder who the young girl is in the photos with the infant boy. Great explore. Thank you xx

@@AbandonedUrbexCanada I would think so. The text said the couple only had a son, hence my question. I too hate vandals and cant understand why they have to trash buildings

Seeing all the vandalism and trashing makes me itch to go in there to box up the paper, straighten furniture, set books on shelves, etc. Just because.

I love the drone footage. Good Job... I would have ran it into a tree on the first use. I told my husband I wanted 60 years. I knew a few couples that had been married that long and they were happy together. Sadly we only made it to 33 yrs. My husband passed in 2015 from end stage kidney disease. I think our home would have looked a lot like that. Sad that they didn't have anyone left to give it to. Thank you for sharing this video and the history of the home.

Wow that is some history. I don't understand why people have to be so disrespectful to other peoples things no matter if they are passed or not. Brent you have certainly set the standard for exploring. I have such a hard time watching anyone else. The way you present yourself and how respectful you are It is pretty awesome.

I met these people back in the early 2000s. Bartered a vehicle with the son (Ron). Nice guy who had some medical issues. I had no idea he passed away. I can’t remember the family story but recall they had some bad luck. When I first saw the house on this video, it was eerily familiar. I knew immediately where you were. I remember seeing my old vehicle parked there years ago. It also looked abandoned. I think they also owned quite a few acres but don’t know if it was sold off prior to Norm or Ron’s passing. It’s fairly close to the city and is worth a lot of $.
