The boys are in for one crazy wet and wild adventure through far North Queensland’s Daintree Region! 🌴 Their mission to re-open a Cape York track that hasn’t been driven in 60 years! They’ll drive through muddy creeks and winch down a local’s driveway in the pouring rain but what will happen when they lose the track?
15% off everything at TruFit, use code EOFY15 at checkout - 3dmats.com.au/
This is the wettest Far North Queensland has been in years, so it’s safe to say the boys have their work cut out for them. With multiple river crossings, dense forests and tracks you can barely see, this will be one action-packed adventure!

One thing in common is our daily commute in rural area in Malaysia is as hard as these route and I'd love to show you guys how bad the track is during monsoon. I'd be grateful for the raptor as I'm currently restoring my Toyota LN106, one that I used to bring food supplies to the Native people in the remote area almost daily. G'day!

I don't think I've enjoyed one of your adventures more than this one. I was invested in every minute of this trail restoration. Ah, and finishing up at my old 'local'. It was 35km one-way drive to The Den from home. Before they cleaned up and laid bitumen down from Bloomfield, up the range to the Mulligan, it would take 45 minutes to an hour or so to get there, depending on the condition of the road, so picking up takeaways was a mission that usually ended up with us sleeping in the car because you can't stop at The Den and not have a beer or two and a catch up with the other locals. After the road was done, it was a 20-30 minute drive, depending on how well you knew the road. Luxury!

I’ve built the entire thing in a small garden shed at home and am not to far off finishing the body work ready for paint. the raptor kit would be of great help for future prospects out bush so my car can be protected and not full of bush stripes by the end of my trip haha. was inspired to raptor coat my car after watching the transformation of jockos lux and Shaunos 80 and seeing how much it can take! cheers!

It basically goes to show that most of the upgrades meatheads throw on their rigs are completeness unnecessary. One of the greatest scams sold to the average Aussie is that you need a Toyota and $30k worth of custom bolt ons and gear. Pretty hilarious once you get to Cape York and see the only clowns there with heavy rigs with every possible accessory are people from down south.
@smackhead
@smackhead 4 ай бұрын
Pretty normal really. You are aware diff locks didn't become fashionable until 10-15 years ago? Until popularised by the media people would spend money on useless shit. A Jeep TJ would have crawled it without a diff lock as well, so would a Nissan Patrol of the era.

50:05 There is a property at the bottom of the Gap Creek range road between Bloomfield and Rossville and their driveway is a mission on a good day. At different times over the past 70 years, various methods were employed to make the first creek crossing across Gap Creek passable for vehicles most of the year including 2WDs. I believe it was concreted way back in the day. That got washed away after a few wet seasons. Then, a set of old dozer tracks were laid across the creek. Well, they kinda washed away too. The last time I crossed it, in 2011 in the 60 series wagon with the flash Sunraysias and fat sand tyres, it was just the back to how nature wanted it. Boulders.The old dozer tracks are still there just downstream of the crossing. It's a very deceptive ford, because the water is very clear, yet is running across what are essentially rapids, so picking your line to avoid sump or diff- killing boulders or holes can be tricky. Anyway, I'm rambling on. That upper Daintree/Cedar Bay area is very close to my heart. It's my spiritual home.

Last time I took her through the bush to rescue my mate on his 450 dirt bike, I had to drive some super narrow tracks (because they're motorbike tracks), I scored some pretty nasty scratches. Absolutely awesome. Definitely one of the best episodes I've seen, and that's really saying something given how great they usually are. I have to respect your reluctance to cut down live trees when reopening these old tracks although I'd have thought it'd be unavoidable because there are bound to be sections where new tree growth has taken root on the track itself after so long not being driven.

Another great ep. PJ has an amazing place. As for Raptor, did the tele track in the Cruiser towing a trailer the whole way without a scratch, but then reversed a door panel into a tree at Nolans reversing into a camp spot. Could have used the Raptor then. Cheers boys.

I went out with the disco 1 a few yrs ago, and was going up a steep climb and a tree scrashed the whole left side of the car, if I had a can or two of raptor coat I could of fix it right there and then. Keep up the videos they are awesome

Another banger of a vid lads. My first trip in my first 4x4 we were exploring after doing the border track in south Australia and came across an old track. The road was tight, overgrown and had bushes sticking out and all of a sudden I hear something smash against the car, I had hit a fallen tree that I didn’t see behind the bush. It had smashed up one of my flares and did slight panel damage. From the track being so tight it had scratched up the car (bita cut and polish would fix it) but would love to do a respray with raptor to help prevent stuff like that.

This ep ticked all the boxes for me. A fantastic adventure through stunning countryside with a bunch of blokes who live and breath the off road life.
