I don't understand how there can be so many beautiful places that people don't restore and live in. It seems like such a waste.

Len Yandeau You would have to have tons of moneyto restore this castle. Plus electric and water bilks are not cheap. AND maintenance inside and outside
@sheilashields6386
@sheilashields6386 6 жыл бұрын
The cost to maintain this would be astronomical ! You are 100% right !!!! What a magnificent magical place ! Just imagine the way it looked, the people, the amazing celebrations.

Besides the expense of restoration is the cost of employees. Very few in the world can do that anymore.

kardro1 No kidding. It was a lot easier back in days when you could pay people a pittance and still demand back breaking service, and desperate peasants were readily available. Beautiful old places, but only great for those who owned and parties there. The folks who toiled 16 hours a day for pennies weren't so lucky.

A wonder that skylight doesn't leak.I think your right,someone is at leasr trying to preserve it.I used to do this,before the internet and I should've taken pictures.I went in many old southern plantation houses and leaking roofs are the biggest enemy.They have all been torn down to build subdivisions and malls.it makes me want to go live in a cabin in Colorado.

Clint Davis you should try to make your own videos... so much is getting lost to root and ineptitude. I spent a lot of time in the car on trips around the country and canada. so many places are no longer in existence. even the statue of liberty has restrictions. that's sad.

love you two. So well educated. Such a interesting properties. Just remember. Many of us love this videos because we imagine how people used to live in this houses. It doesnt matter if it's a mansion or a cabin. So always remember...try to keep a patron. Show room by room, so we can imagine the layout, the plan of the house. I mean. Dont edit it jumping from room to room. :) thank you, and i hope my advise helps you :) best!

Something sad and beautiful at the same time. One can imagine the beauty of the place when occupied and the everyday life as it were....you can almost hear the sounds of conversations, music and laughter as you pass through each space...now long since gone...eerily thought provoking of the lives long gone
