Sapphire was so lucky to be spotted by a Hope For Paws fan who was visiting from the state of Oregon and knew that we were close by.

Sapphire had a terrible break in her foot, and as soon as I saw her X-ray, I knew that I need to rush her to Doctor Antonio Pedraza. The X-ray will blow your mind... the before and after is one of the most amazing I have ever seen.

She might not have been dumped. Dogs escape and get lost too. I think she clearly had an owner that loved her. She doesnt look neglegted or traumatised as much as other rescue dogs. That is why you need to microchip your pets. I remember when i was a kid people would get the dog's serial number tatooed in the ear or inner thigh (same number as in the chip except you type it instead of scanning) i returned dogs to their owners 3 times in my lifetime this way.

Dr. Antonio Pedraza, I believe his name is. He's also gone on a couple of rescues w/ Eldad: very awesome and very caring surgeon. He's pretty special!!

I looked at that X-Ray and I had no hope, it looked like an amputation case. But Eldad knew this surgeon could repair the fracture, and went directly there.

Poor dog 😔 thank you for everything 👏👏👏500 dogs thrown into a dump in our city. These dogs were left to die in this dump. I share these hungry dogs videos on my youtube. I'm spelling petitions and complaints about this topic. I wrote the petition for shelter and neutering to the government. 😔

Maribeth, not necesssarily true. You can still foster if your place is appropriate, and there are lots of other important support roles needed. Often, the support roles that rescues need aren't the most visible or glamorous ones, but they are so necessary. When people ask me what I need, I tell them "money, muscle and toilet paper, in that order," and they think I'm being funny, but it's what I need, not direct patient care. This isn't a hobby, I'm not going to put anyone into a dangerous position if they're inexperienced or unsuited, it's not safe for the animals either.

And if you don't microchip your pet, then it is not a lost pet. It is an abandoned one because the owner did not care to get it microchipped so he/she would be notified of the pet's location. People need to understand that it does not matter whether you forgot, did not realize the importance of microchipping. You have still abandoned the pet.

TheRivrPrncess : Don’t be so easily to judge people. I microchipped one of my dogs. I have 2 dogs. One is rescued from a high kill shelter. The shelter already microchipped him. Second one, I got it as a gift. I microchipped her.

The dog could have been injured and the owner couldn't afford the bill to fix it and so abandoned the dog. Around here, it can cost you up to $100 to 'turn over' your pet to a shelter for re-homing if you can no longer take care of it yourself. A LOT of pet owners can't afford this, so the pet gets driven out into the 'countryside' and left there for some one else to deal with.

Oh my😲 this has to be one of the prettiest dogs I've ever seen 😍. Those eyes😍😳. Such a beautiful girl. I hope she found a good home. You are right she belongs in movies but I'd never do that to her, I'd take tons of pictures of her with nice backdrops of the forest or a lake and cabin....I'm telling you with those eyes, a black and white with just her eyes in color😍 I wish I knew her mix , she may not be hypoallergenic but , that personality added to her build, and her looks....those ears..I could see her being a very popular breed some day. I think I fell in love.😍😍

The lady who stayed with her is yet another Earth Angel! Not many people will give themselves like this to help.
