If the BMW gets passable gas mileage, and can be fixed, then it is more useful than any Caddy or GTO, though if the trailer can be made to haul the BMW, and other efficient cars, than it does top the BMW and Kevin is right. But the reason to revive cars is economy, not luxury or performance, so unless they can be lived in like campers, stick with the little ones like the Z car and Fiat Spider you did, and Gremlin. Revive a Geo Metro.

i had a 80 something bmw 528e do that once. the gas pedal fell through the floor and jammed the throttle wide open and the key was a flathead screwdriver that i forgot at the garage. the clutch went out and the car wouldn't move so it sat there banging off the rev limiter until i walked back to the garage and got the "key"

Before my Dad passed away in 2007, he was driving a truck just like that except that his was baby blue. He had converted his to run on biodiesel or used transmission fluid or even used refined oil. With any of those strange fuels he could get as much as 70 miles to the gallon. Now that truck had no power to pull anything, but it would go forever. It also helped that my Dad was an incredible mechanic. Y’all stay safe and Blessings to all !!!

You guys made an old man (59) laugh tonight, something I really needed in my life today. Kevin, Angus and Dalton remind me of my boyz and their friends who would come to my house and do ridiculous stuff back in their high school days, usually a birthday BBQ. All their friends called me Pops. Boyz are all moved, married, have familes and live thousands of miles away. Dalton driving by and yelling "Fugg You!" and I nearly did a spit take. This channel is like a piece of nostalgia and therapy for me.

In quality testing, BOB stands for "best of best" as opposed to WOW, which is "worst of worst". You pull one of each from the production line and swap parts until they run the same to identify which component is the source of the trouble. In the case of that pick-up, the component to swap out is the Oldsmobile diesel V-8.

Another thing that makes for hard/no start in one of those 6.2's is the fuel cutoff solenoid. They like to die/freeze if they aren't used semi frequently. It's located in the top of the injection pump cover. You can pull that cover via four bolts, and if there is diesel in that well under the cover, it means the lift pump is working, and the pump should now be in a "run" state with that cover removed. (You have to stick your finger in the well and manually move the cutoff to shut the engine off.) By the sounds that engine was making however, it had other, far more serious issues.

I'm only 16 minutes in but if this isn't called the bongo truck by the end, I swear I will email mook about this. That bongo drum sound when it cranks is hilarious... I have never heard anything like that.
