Abandoned Gas Station - Rock Hill, SC. In this video we take a look around this old Gas station which was very difficult to find any info on. We did learn that at one point it was a Phillips 66. Other than that there was not much info on this place. However from the looks of it it has been abandoned for several years.

I actually worked there as the manager when it was Thomas Petroleum Oil Company from 1999 - 2005, I also ran the Community Mart during that time as well. Thought you would like to know. It was Green's oil pryor to Thomas Petroleum taking over

I had a black Z24 Cavalier and absolutely loved that car. Still the favorite car I have ever owned.

I can understand that. I loved my Beretta Z26 but the Z24 has been the best car I've ever owned. I love that thing.

That was at one time the old Green's Oil Company station. It was owned by the Green family of Rock Hill. It was sold to a different company in 1994 . I believe it was finally closed in the late 90's early 00's . My family and the Green family were great friends. I went to this store as a young child many times.

there’s a deadmall not too far from there called rock hill galleria. has one anchor left which is a belk. went yesterday n it’s pretty wild only got maybe 10 stores left. entire sections are jus abandoned

Next to Home Depot and I remember buying gas there in 1998 but went out of business I’d say 2000-2001.

Reminds me of that truck stop Terry took me too a while, so so so bad. Not every day you see a Phillips 66 gas station anymore. wow.

I passed by a Phillips 66 gas station recently in Lexington, NC. You are right about their not being many Phillips 66 gas stations still around.

That building is familiar. I believe it was a gas station for several years. Then it became the Auto Outlet of Rock Hill. Then it went back to a gas station and then went under permanently.

Wallie. If you get down to Western Maryland, stop in a Wonder Book and Video store. Tons of usedbooks, vinyl records and DVDs plus a big DVD rental section. The bigger one is in Frederick and a smaller one in Hagerstown.

Can't even get some gas for the Z and no moldy chips or drinks to get back on the road again. That place looks real bad inside. The blue paint would really get your attention.

Those old service/gas stations are scary. Restroom access on the outside. Had to go in for the keys and they were rarely heated. Could not pee when it was cold..

Sadly to say this but Yeah there's definitely no saving that old gas station it has to be demolish no mater what. But I wonder why that place closed tho?

Possibly lost franchise, retired is another. Sadly 3 places by me that would have perfect too record are torn down. One was a Hot 'N Now, another was a former Chili's and other was a short lived Macaroni Grill which closed due too very poor service and quite a few people had food poisoning. One former D&W is now a sandwich shop. A Tim Hortons now a Popeyes. Two former Kmarts are now self storage. We do still have at least one recently closed Sears (closed in January) and a Yonkers in same mall. Only can see in from outside doors. There also is a Steak And Shake opening back up! Another small retail spot just went up for sale after about 20 years, I am thinking it was tax issues since do not remember when anything was in it last. Another "supposedly" is being worked on but have not seen anything and still have a former Wittmark still standing with owners not budging even with constant multiple fines for building collapsing.

@@KC8EWU Wow that is pretty sad but now from ever since covid 19 started with crazy rules I'm sure that is not helping in now days anymore and if you ask me I think lot of businesses would have stay open if were not for some of crazy covid 19 rules oh well it is what is what it is no one can do something about it now :(
