I always wonder the stories behind these buildings, like why is it abandoned? And why do items get left behind?

the reasons will always vary but usually the abandonment has to do with finances and the items may be left because the family/owners/state don’t want to put aside the money/resources to clear them out

The hat you saw doesn’t appear to be that old with the brown headband I’d say maybe WW2 at the oldest. Kingform is still making caps for the US military to this day, however an interesting fact. Although the Army insignias are missing on this hat the red and white bands going around the hat indicate that whoever owned it was in the Engineer branch of the Army.

I’ve seen a lot of other videos exploring homes around the same age as this one where there will be paintings of the actual house inside, usually homes of very wealthy people, but apparently this used to be a trend

apple stared 1976. so i think it was a house from late 1800's to early 1900's
