I've only been watching abandoned videos about 2 wks now. At first I thought he was a fun & cute kid, but I've found him to be so smug, obnoxious, & self-praising, along with his inability to speak English properly, that I've started watching with the volume off. The way he "I ... I .. me ... me ... alone ... by myself" when he has a crew of guys with him, makes him ugly to me.

Josh the further you are exploring the better the places you find are becoming, Japan has definitely been one of your best series yet. Also the camera rolling sound!, is that an effect you have added when editing after or is it from your actual camera, because it sounds great and adds a lot of feeling to your video. I was sure this was going to be Hashima, but you surprised me with a different island ! This is awesome and it is amazing how well everything is preserved ! Thanks for sharing your exploring adventures. Hashima was abandoned in 1974 and the interiors are really destroyed, this island is much better preserved, and judging from the equipment looks like it was abandoned in the 1990s. It is still strange to me that they just leave all the equipment behind, maybe a lot of the stuff was obsolete (in Japan) when the hospital closed.

It was abandoned in 1974, within a timeframe of around 4 hours. All the residents there were workers of the gas plant and their families. Once the gas plant ran out of money, they kicked everyone out

In the lab the instrument with the Beckman Coulter label is a CBC machine that does the white blood count, red blood count and platelets. The instrument to the right is a chemistry analyzer very similar to the one I run today. All those bottles were the reagents for the different tests. I love your videos especially the abandoned hospitals

hasnan.faris noorhanizal yeah because there only reason for being there was the mines. The area was built to accommodate the workers. Except for during WW2 when it was used as a forced labor camp. The Mistubishi company owned the island and cleared it out once they closed the mines. It was just business. Why stay?

I saw at 4:21. It says Coulter T-890. Its a Hematology Analyzer. They used it in Laboratories for RBC, WBC Counting. Etc.

And the one that "still has patients' names" next to it is a blood chemistry analyzer. The bottles are the different reagents used for the various blood tests performed (glucose, ALP, CK, etc.). As a lab rat myself it was so cool to see antiquated, abandoned equipment like that!

Coming from an archaeologist... Since I am one... ARCHAEOLOGISTS DON'T DIG DINOSAURS! That's a paleontologist. Also, if you were being an archaeologist on this trip, you would do a hell of a lot more than just look at documents. You would take detailed photo's and plans, and write reports etc

I love your videos. Just one suggestion. When you find some kind of product like medicines check out the dates on them just out of curiosity to kind of know when was the place last occupied. Yes I think it is fine to visit the Island, that looks like a regular passenger ferry he is taking. (Visiting the hospital is not legal and trespassing). The cats probably survive on small mice etc and visitors feeding them. Also I read that Island may not be completely abandoned, some people still live there and feed the cats.

is this the famous haunted and forbidden island?the one you need to ask permission from the authorities before going there....they have quite few abandoned islands and to my knowledge the famous ones are forbidden island and battleship island. 😄

When I was 3 months old, my relatives and I went there before the incident for my grandfathers job. Hes a retired Toshiba employee and we stayed in the tallest hotel. We took many great photos of Fukishima. Its weird to see it now and look back on the photos.
