I understand that crime was an issue but bad enough for people to leave thousands of dollars worth of equipment behind? Let alone the power being left on. Shit, that would be a paradise if you were homeless. You could sleep so many people in there. The fridge worked, the power was on so the microwave and cooking appliances worked, and there was still plenty of stuff to salvage for money.

I have a feeling that man was not up to any good. He was stuttering and shifting side to side(and casually looking to the side as he talked indicating that he was lying). He asked if the projectors still worked and was disappointed when they weren't there any more. Honesty, he could've just said he was stealing stuff and it would come out a lot smoother, he was just a terrible liar (probably caught off guard) but idk maybe he was there and doing what he was saying but I just got off vibes.

Imagine playing hide and seek style paintball, complete with police riot gear protection, Kevlar vests, proper helmets, etc. That would be absolutely insane, it would be terrifying and exhilarating fun at the same time, they should take radio walkie talkies with them, they don't shatter like cell phones do. If they get into trouble, injured by the environment type stuff, they can chat for help.

I'm surprised the hairdryers and stuff are still there. At the very least you'd think the former owner would donate them to a thrift store for tax purposes.

Years ago a friend of mines father worked security at a closed hotel. Pretty much just like this mall. The place looked like they just locked it up one day and never came back. It was fully stocked. Happens more often than people realize.

Great Video! It was cool actually seeing Dan Bell, instead of just hearing his smooth 'documentary' voice. :-) Anyways, from your comments and the comments that Dan made, my personal opinion is the reason the power is still on in the mall, and it is somewhat accessible, is that it seems that the current owners of the mall would like the mall to Burn Down. What I mean is that you, Josh, mention that the owners of the mall are waiting for the mall to sort of 'fall down' so that they can replace it with a Wall Mart. Also Dan happened to mention that, with the dead tree being left in the closed store, that "one match could light the whole place on fire" My guess is that the current owners of the mall would like for the whole place to burn down do to and electrical fire, and then collect the insurance money, which would cover the costs of tearing down the mall and removing it. Just my thoughts.
