Liked the bungalow character. Time out room🤣 Like our late 70s 80s home, they are spacious homes but agree in lacking character. I know of many friends who have built new homes and have many problems with lack of quality and care of the build.

The first house is bizarre. The second home and the door with the lock and no handle makes me feel claustrophobic. Thanks for taking us along with you.

The first two homes really did nothing for me but the third would be great for renovation. Appears to have no internal or external structural damage, huge front and back yard that could be cleared and landscaped. Employ a forward thinking architect to redesign and you would have a reimagined family home. But it appears its fate is sealed. Another great explore Paul 👍👍🇭🇲

Some quirky home layouts in todays finds. Love the 80s nec tv in the first home along with the cassettes and the stereos. Concerning that the 2nd house had a pad bolt on the outside of the door. Morning the 3rd house my dad built his first house around 1965 to 67 those where the exact tiles he used in the bathroom I call them bear tiles look hard you will see a bear 😊 great video

You always have some very interesting explores. My favorite kind. Common homes gigantic castles that get boring after a dozen rooms or so...lol What gets to me in these homes is all the once good furniture that could be given to people in need. Great explore! Cheers!🍻

I love seeing the old kitchens in these houses. The kitchen is normally the heart of the home. But it does make me sad thinking about how lonely it is now. I love that root cellar .

The music in the 70s and 80s was a hit, but not the houses. Maybe they were more comfortable than the old buildings but they lacked character. Too much wood and too dark. The children's prison was awesome, I've never seen anything like it.. Couldn't they have donated all the stuffed animals to a children's home? They would have been happy. Thanks for the video Paul. First place was a very odd place indeed...but interesting as usual!

Hi Paul, Both of these homes had their own charm. The first one was nice but they had no backyard and they obviously had children. All the stuffed animals indicate children but they had no yard to play in. The second house was nice because it has a nice sunroom. I have a sunroom and I just love it. Also they had a big backyard for children to play in ( if they had any). There was a nice big eat-in kitchen. The bedrooms were a bit small. The first house had a root cellar which I find creepy. It’s a shame that they are going to be knocked over. With a little TLC they could have been fixed up and people could be living in them. Why they take good houses and destroy them. I will never understand that. I guess it’s out with the old and in with the new. That is the mindset.I liked all the wood paneling. The gas heater is the same as the one in my parents old home. Eventually all the elements broke and could not be replaced. The home was built late 1890s and modernised some time late 30s when the gas heater was installed in the existing fireplace.

Three quirky homes with each having a crazy out there style. The first home.... Man that is one weirdly slapped together looking place. Be great for kids to play hide n seek in though. Those room with the locks and pull across bolt closers things (sorry I don't know their names) really freaks me out... That's some crazy Serial Killer vibes going on there.... Lol. Your videos are always so very much fun and so very interesting to watch. And I look forward to your uploads on your usual upload days. It's just so interesting to me about different homes from different eras. How they were built , how people decorated and cared for them. Homes that show that they were loved places to live at one time. The care people put into the homes. The decorating and upgrades. These places were special to some family or familes at one point. So sad to see them being readied for demolition. But things move on. Time does too. And I as always will keep watching these awesome videos of yours. And keep enjoying these amazing abandoned places. That style glass was still being used in the late 70's - early 80's. My parents put glass like that in the family home around 79.

Something about the 1st house was unsettling. Can't put my finger on why except that the set up in the entry way with the chairs set up the way they were in addition to the multiple locks on the outside of the door... then the way the house has been chopped up with weird upgrades. Your houses almost always seem loved at some point in their lives. I can't see that here. Oh well. On to the next 2.

You weren't joking when you said quirky about the 1st house. I wonder what the deal was about the chairs in the front room. Prayer meeting? Seance? Employment office? Oddball house but remove a wall here and there, some paint and patience it'd be a cool house. House #2 = Almost as weird as #1. That huge window looking out to a very ugly wall and the heat that wall must've thrown back into the house! Hopefully there were vines and plants to cool it and make it inviting. House #3 = Best floor plan, best kept, nice sun room but as you say, bland and insipid in design and decoration. White walls, windows with no frames, and cheap materials. The first two seem to have been built on what was originally large parcels of land that were divided and subdivided into slivers. The third has that undeveloped land at the back but I wonder how long before they build that up to the highway Good video as always.

Curious little nook by the window in that first house. Maybe someone just wanted a barrier so people couldn't look into the room through the window so easily. But possibly there was at one time a door to the outside there, as there is a continuation of the wooden window frame right down to the floor. Maybe there was a side entrance there, even a little porch.

Maybe selling off the garden of the first house enabled them to retire. The road noise at the front probably wasn't so bad then & they could sit on the front porch.

The homes they build today aren’t going to be here 50 years from now let alone a 100-200 years. It’s so sad.

The houses appear to be remodeled with whatever the owners could find. Maybe rentals? That weird vertical dark wood paneling looks like early 80s. It was terrible then & still is. You look back on what was trendy then and wonder what were people thinking. My mother and her 70s decorating??!! I can't stand green & gold to th his day. Thanks for video, great work as always.

Definitely the older they are the more charisma they have, There was a time when younger people shunned the older homes as out of date and stuffy, My, how things have changed, The young around here get into bidding wars for the historic homes now. Second hand stores are literally looted for period trimmings to decorate as mid 20th century. Cheers!

Hello Urbex. At first i thought that front room was originally 2 rooms with a fire lace each, then I realized it was too small an area to be divided, i was so confused about a double fire place... I love houses with nooks it is second on my list of favourite features lol....Ithink Werner and i have been to the second house, and the only reason I remember going is because of the lock, I was thinking how unusual it was, that area of the house looked like a sauna ha ha.... It was probably a valuables room.... looked like it was a home business. Great work.

I liked the first house, quirky as it was. I wish I could of seen that house in it's original state. Can you imagine how lovely it would be with those two facing fireplaces going? I'm also so impressed by the size of the Geraniums in the little side garden. I wish I could grow them like that here. The third house was a great Mid Century. I have a love hate relationship with Mid Century ranches. I love them and also think they are ugly. Thank you again for the wonderful explore of these homes.
