ABANDONED Retro 1980's California Style Ranch Bungalow (Forgotten Homes Ontario Ep.57)

Sold in 2016 to a developer for 4.3 million dollars for the land, this California style bungalow is set to be demolished for another mansion like many other homes in this area. With one of the coolest kitchens, I've seen exploring, it's amazing to me that this home likely won't be lived in again. Although in fantastic condition, there is a small amount of black mold starting in the basement.

I've read that those small sinks you guys see in the houses are for washing fruits and veggies!

Hannah Williams - actually, although it is most probably used for that (a “prep sink”), it’s primary use is as a garbage disposal. Nowadays, upscale homes here have a separate prep sink (usually in a kitchen island), or one of a number of custom insets in a larger farm sink that hang from the lip of the sink and can be slid to one side. Garbage disposals have fallen out of favor for being less “green” - they waste a lot of water and those kitchen scraps now go on the compost pile. The pastel colors are definitely dated - I imagine if it wasn’t being torn down, a new paint scheme would do wonders - I can picture the stair rail in brass or chrome; but I’d leave that black powder room just as it is! That basement was pretty generous too, although the main room with the chairs looks like they were setting up for an Amway meeting! 🤮🤮🤮

This house is breathtaking! I've only done the necessary little renovation, and I could live there almost immediately. it is a great loss to tear down a house like this.

Wow! Great find. Shame it's going to be torn down its in excellent shape. Loved the door knobs and view of the pool bold pretty colors someone took good care of it definitely females lived here.

Was that pink in the basement too? Cause that would be about 2500 sq ft of pink. Holy 1984 😂❤️. Nice video. The kitchen was cool. Shame they made over those bathrooms just to have them torn down. Thanks for sharing. ❤️

Really liked the house. Would definitely change the pink wall and what ever that was in the kitchen to some other color but otherwise a really nice house. Good find.

The way there’s alcohol bottles everywhere, water bottles in the bathrooms, tongs holding the kitchen door open...my guess is kids that knew it was abandoned found a fun party spot for a little bit 🤷🏼‍♀️

Liked the painting on the wall that would like be in a restaurant almost looked realistic and I love the kitchen area I would so want that just not the teal looking color

Its not a good practice to tore places that many considered abandoned, its a place where a family lived, lives, that should be realized for consistencies, as to repairs or a resale for it not to be torn, specially when the materials used are of considerable consistencies, durable, stable, as well as strong. The archives or the statistics office that accounts the structural foundations and so as the owners for it to be restored, repaired or to have an immediate relief/action so as to add up into the certainties of permanently housed residences and owners.

Besides the wall paper in the entrance and the small bathroom these people know what to do with money. Beautiful house. Looks like it was still lived in besides the damage that was done. Doesn't look like vandals did the damage.

wow why would u just leave the house it looks so amazing though. I mean yes it looks like they were trying to update it maybe but if they ran out of money slowly have done it instead of doing it all at once

Great explore. Someone had expensive taste in booze. A bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label, of which I saw more than one there, goes for about $200.00 USD. A sad waste if kids drank it up.
