Abarth 595 Esseesse First Drive: The Ultimate 595?

Hello guys, and welcome back to Car Obsession! Apologies for the delay in getting this video uploaded; I tried to upload it last Saturday, but I had technical problems and yesterday I had a camera stolen from me, so I spent a fair chunk of time sorting that out....
Anyway, moving on... A few weeks ago, I tested the new Abarth Esseesse, a car that could well be the ultimate 595. That's because it's like the Competitzione, only it has a few extra goodies. These includes Koni dampers for the front AND the rear, a limited slip differential, Sabelt seats, Akrapovic exhaust system, and white 17" SuperSport Alloy wheels.
It retains the same 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol, which has 180hp and 250Nm of torque. 0-62 is dealt with in 6.7 seconds, and the top speed is 140mph, which is plenty for a car that is the same size as a handbag.

I bought one of these Esseesse's in August. I love it sooo much, i can throw it around corners like you wouldn't believe in the dry! Great review!

Really nice car, I tested it yesterday and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna buy one and sell my Leon Cupra … .May sound crazy for most of yours but this car gives u that emotional feeling you never get in any VW Group cars.. What I really appreciate is the absence of hundreds and thousands of tech features, it's a car in it's purest way, equipped with great mechanical features

I really enjoyed my 595 when I had it, but after having to give it up out of the blue I really wanted another Abarth but I ideally needed something a little bigger, luckily I found an 2009 Abarth Grande Punto in my town that had just come on sale the day before I saw it & jumped on it, personally I’d take the Punto over the 595 after now owning them both for the same amount of time.

You have to REALLY, REALLY want a 500 to choose it over the Fiesta ST.

Rather stick needles in my eyes than drive a chavvy ST everyone including bills grandma has a fiesta.

& very tunable. But TWENTY NINE THOUSAND POUNDS for a Fiat 500, they are having a laugh, a bloody big laugh, at your expense!!!! Rather spend it on a Honda type R

Think of it as your wife: you wouldn't want her to look like a man, would you? :) To be honest, its design is the main reason why I'd want a 500 in general (and the exhaust sound in the Abarth, aswell).
