I have a story, as an imigrant boy coming from Argentina 🇦🇷 to Toronto Ontario Canada 🇨🇦, our first place we moved to in Toronto, someone left a 45rpm record in one of the closets, the label said "waterloo" the artist name? ABBA it was a black and red label,and the first time I had a chance to play it made me instantly into a fan of ABBA I have been listening to their music ever since 1974

What would life have been like without ABBA! Happy 50th! 🎉6/4/74 - 6/4/24. Go to ABBA Voyage concert as soon as you can! I remember vividly watching the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest as a 6 year old and watching ABBA performing “Waterloo”, and being mesmerised. I’ve been a fan ever since, even being bullied for it, especially when entering secondary school in 1978. ABBA have a combined wealth of nearly £1.5billion. Oddly enough, 6 April 1974 to 6 April 2024 is 1,577,912,463 seconds. So ABBA have earned £1 per second over the last 50 years! Thank you Anni-Frid, Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha.

@Degree7 yep a war to remove monarchy and give everyone rights to become a person and not stay an expenditure for the country, what an evil man. In reality napoleon lost and history is written by the victors so the monarchies of the time would demonise him, yet his legacy lives on in the form of constitutions and civil rights that we would not have imagined back then.

Same here. My mother is in the same generation as ABBA (she was even pregnant at the same time as Agnetha, so my sister is only one day younger than Agnetha's and Björn's daughter Linda) and was a fan back then, despite the fact that the overly left-wing cultural elite here in Sweden in the 70s was against them.

I fought at the battle of waterloo in 1815. My god, what a battle I was in a square when the french laid in their attack, and the bandsmen played this song in tribute. The duke of wellington looked over at me saying, hey homes, what's my next move cuz? Say what? Now over two hundred years later, I still love this song. Amazing memories for a veteran LOL

i really love this song, it gives me so much nostalgia (coming from an old person). it reminds me f when i was still skinny and fit, ilived in uzbekistan from 1-30 then i moved to laos then afghanistan i went through some really tough times (gaining weight, losing my albino pet rat) this song and band helped me so much. thank you Abba you really helped me with my hernia operation. thanks you

I will never forget the first time I ever heard this song. I was driving my car listening to the radio and this awesome song comes on the radio. I couldn't wait to find out who the artists were and get my hand on a cassette or record album. I could play this 24 hours a day and never tire of it. Im 15, me and my grandpa used to fight a lot haha, we loved each other too. When I was around 10/11, I remember one day we were dancing on a song. We never danced together, and it was such a happy moment, it was a moment of pure love. I randomly told this to a friend, and then I started hearing a random song playing in my head. And I was pretty sure it was a song from abba. Then I found this song, and I just remembered how this music played in the background while we were dancing on the song. He died when I went to 7 grade, I was with him everyday. This song connects me the most to him :) i love it

When I was a kid in the 70s our family would go out to restaurants that had those little mini jukeboxes on the tables, and I would commandeer the jukebox and play every ABBA song on it, one after the other, and if there was time, because the service was slow, I would repeat as many songs as I could. It really brought the family together - to plot my demise.

I was born in 1980, and I love Abba. It plays at the restaurant (Soda Steve's Restaurant inside Paradise Hill, Oklahoma near Lake Tenkiller) I work. I'm a dishwasher. We have great chili cheese fries. 🧀 🍟 We have great Hickory Burgers. 🍔 We also have great chicken patties. 🐔 The restaurant I work also plays The Carpenters. I love them, too. This was my mom's favorite song of ABBA's. Clear to the end when she died from dementia this would make her smile, tap her foot and love it. Miss her a lot, she was a great mother. This song always reminds me of her. Thank you, ABBA, for making mom's last song heard yours.
