Let me just say this; I personally believe that Michael would still have been alive if it weren't for the 2006 trial. That broke him completely, both mentally, financially and physically. The light in Michaels eyes disappeared and he practically died right then and there. Everyone who was involved with putting him through that trial, is in my opinion a part of his death. Agree with you 100%. Trial was 2005 b/c the ridiculously intense media coverage stopped for one weekend when Pope John Paul II died that April. But yes. You're right. He was told not to go back to his beloved Neverland and became a nomadic single parent of three. He was never the same again. Bashir makes an effort here. I'll give him that. Most didn't. But his "Living with Michael Jackson" special did an enormous amount of damage to Michael's reputation. It was fraught with dishonesty and negative innuendo. Shame on the media as a whole.

Jackson's 'own words' are often misinterpreted. Even Macaulay Culkin who has always defended Jackson said that Jackson has always found it hard to explain what he actually means. And Jackson grew up often sharing bed with his brothers. A bed was not a sexual place for him at all. And besides that, he mostly slept on the floor if guests were sleeping in the bedroom. That was even confirmed by accuser Gavin Arvizo (the kid in Bashir's documentary, that Bashir himself told to hold hands with Jackson and rest his head on Jackson's shoulder) both in the trial and in the footage Bashir filmed but edited.

Nope. MJ brought on the tabloid attack way before in the 1980s with the "Wacko Jacko" headlines. Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters interviewed MJ way before Bashir and brought up his "eccentric ways" with the plastic surgeries, etc. Even MJ's skin bleaching to treat vitiligo was to the extreme. He could have used the bleach cream as prescribed to even out his tone like Terrence J and many other vitiligo patients did but MJ decided to get dozens and dozens of both benoquin and hydroquinone to erase his melanin. No dermatologists would ever prescribe a person both enoquin and hydroquinone. It is one or the other and certainly not "38 tubes" of that ish like what police found in MJ's room in 2009.

If you never saw any wrongdoing or believed that he was involved in criminal activity, then why didn't you just leave it at that, rather then constantly insinuating in your documentary that he was a child molester? Why not practice responsible journalism and keep your personal opinions to yourself and allow the viewing audience to draw their own conclusions, rather then inserting them into the documentary and causing viewers to think the absolute worst? I guess that wouldn't have gotten you the ratings you wanted in order to get rich and further your struggling career. Your editing was unbalanced, your voice-overs were unfair, and your questions were biased. You are the perfect example of why Jackson was so mistrusting of the media and why he barely did interviews. It was because of self-serving individuals such as yourself who always wanted to twist the truth around and bring him down for your own personal gain. Your words in this video are not sincere because when Jackson was alive, you were saying the complete opposite. Remember the interviews you did shortly after your documentary aired? How you justified your film and had nothing but negative things to say about Jackson? It's just very sad what people will say and do for a little bit of fame and money.

The same things that MJ got away with "normalizing" in the 80s and 90s was not going to be viewed the same by the public in the 2000s! His life style wasn't un- orthodox to him. It shouldn't have been to anyone. We all have the shadow side to us. We all need to value , accept and respect differences. It's how the world is made up . There's many different things in life n people I M not on a level with , it's human nature. However I take umbridge with injustice of any kind . This Earth plain is hard enough without creating more. Michael did nothing wrong. We've created a world of greed, manipulation and control. Mainly through the media and the Tabloids and now more with social media! We have free will but sadly it's used to our detriment as we follow like sheep , just to be accepted...love yourself and treat others the way you'd wish to be treated! We are all controlled and yet we choose to follow and accept. Man will destroy man and is doing so already . 😢😇😢

Brashir is just another blood-thirsty media monster who slaughtered a beautiful man’s reputation when he was already in so much pain from repeated lies and betrayal. Karma. It never forgets an address. God bless Michael forever. He used his fame and money for good; others used evil to squire fame and money. Disgusting.

THANK YOU for posting this! Michael unfortunately only ever trusted Bashir bc Martin Bashir showed MJ a letter from Diana thanking him for the interview that Bashir did with her and it was good for her, of course, Michael adored Dainan and that was why he trusted Bashit! Furthermore, Bashir was instructed BEFORE the filming that the abuse allegations were not to be brought up-he blatantly ignored that, its why you see Michael tearfully asking him to stop. Then, to add insult to injury-Bashir was supposed to get clearance off Micael before the show aired, which he never did either!! This dickhead is no professional!! MJ's people tried to get hold of Bashir before the date of it airing but no-one could get hold of him After it did air a friend of Michael called him at his Florida home and he was in tears-makes me sick Michael was treated like this±±

I know everyone, including Jackson, make our own choices. God gave us free will to make choices, it was Jackson's choice to live the life he lived, BUT I also say, each of us, every day, cause pain on others & in doing so, out of that pain we make choices to help us through that pain. Bashir may not have sold the drugs to Jackson, nor did he force the pain-killers into Jackson, BUT Bashir caused Jackson so much pain, Jackson could not take it. I also blame the kid & his mother who accused Jackson of molestation. Jackson trusted all these people (life-sucking leeches) & they stabbed him in the back without remorse - WITHOUT REMORSE OR CONSIDERATION AS HOW JACKSON COULD REACT. Bashir & the boy & his mother are evil, they put Jackson on a "path toward self-destruction".

You are correct and people interpret words to mean other things. If you did watch it you will see and hear a big difference in his attitude toward MJ. If I had made a doc on someone I believed to be a peadophile and had publicly said I thought was dodgy I wouldn't say nice things about them just cause they died. He knows what he did, Bashir does and you can see it. ✌️

elva136 he did. You can tell that he had sincere regret for bashing Michael so heavily. If he was wrong why did he do those things he did? Why did he lie? I honestly don’t know if Michael did it or not, there’s a part of me that believes & a part of me that doesn’t but the fact of the matter is that it’s truly what killed him.
@TheRaNdOmLiFe10003 жыл бұрын
Pink Salt this was an old comment to reply on haha but I agree. The dude was wrong for that interview. He gained Michaels trust just to abuse that trust for the objective media’s outlook on Michael. Like I said before, Michael is not alive anymore to defend himself & I honestly can’t say whether he did or didn’t do the things in question but even still the guys not alive more, so it’s pointless now.

The fact is that he said those exact things in an interview directly after the documentary aired. He said he himself had not seen anything wrong with Michael Jackson. In fact he was nothing but charming with the children as he described it. What was crappy about Martin Bashir is that he pretended to be very nice and friendly with Michael to get close to him to make the documentary. He acted like a great friend until the very end when he brought up all of the accusations and was not very polite about it. Was very harsh. Jackson actually told Martin he felt betrayed for that. Martin decided to be some mean devils advocate for the public to help the ratings of the documentary.

He just downplays his part in the second allegations expecting everyone to forget lol. Anyway, this is clickbait.. he doesn't confess to lying. Bashir did twist tf outta that docu. I watched MJ's version and this man was so two-faced! MJ was out of touch, he needed help with his arrested development and body dysmorphia instead of being allowed to indulge in his Peter Pan lifestyle, it made him an easy target. Now his legacy is tarnished because nobody intervened.
@sammieschouten87012 жыл бұрын
I never thought Martin Bashir meant that Michael Jackson was doing things to children. He was worried which is totally understandable from his point of view. I mean let's be honest, Michael's behavior was a bit alarming. Then Martin Bashir understood Michael's character and finally sees Michael isn't a criminal at all.

I do not think Bashir "lied" or "confessed to lying here". He clearly stated in 2004 he had concerns with MJ's "unorthodox behavior" with children and here in this video he says the same exact thing and just points out "he was never convicted of any crime." Everyone is not going to be a MJ fanatic so I understand where Bashir is coming from. I think a lot of people were blinded by MJ's popularity and high level of fame. If this was an ordinary man Bashir interviewed in 2004 the same people would likely see "unorthodox" or eccentric behavior being shown. If a 40 plus year old black man tried to pass off 3 white kids with bleached blonde hair as his own, gets super giggly and awkward when mentioning women and dating, tells you he is Peter Pan, and had extensive plastic surgery and makeup on (including permanent tattooed eyeliner and lipstick) I think it is natural to take pause. Bashir was not blinded by MJ's celebrity and while he did the interview with devious intentions he could have went in on MJ far worse than he did. While that interview was hard to watch it did shed light on how much self-hate MJ was going through and his problems with drugs and botched plastic surgeries.
