That 6 yr old did not kill the teacher and it was not his gun. This is the first where parents are in trial for being complacent and not only purchased their child a gun but about two ours before he killed students they were called to school because the school was concerned about his behavior. They never stated he owed a gun and refused to remove him from school. If you watch the video his mother was totally impatient to get out of that school .

We get parents that threaten to move their kids but never do, all the time, because they are full of she--it! If you don't like something, you make changes!! Parents need to work with their child's doctor to get their child mental health care when they notice their child is acting abnormal, they cannot just rely on the school system! And by the way taught in inner city high schools for decades so I get it. Way before metal detectors became popular. Both of these cases might have been better if gun safes were mandated by law. I doubt that either of these mothers saw themselves as criminals; I'm sure they use their seat belts and try not to drive drunk. Therefore, it is entirely possible that a safe storage law will impact these so called responsible law abiding gun owners. It's the difference between "Don't drive drunk. It's dangerous," versus "If you drive drunk, you will be charged with DUI." We know that laws do make an impact, even on all these law abiding responsible gun owners. The majority of the USA population supports gun safety legislation. Enough.
