That's not what stopped the whole truck from going over. If she was loaded? It would've all shifted forward at that angle, pushing the trailer and truck completely over. The trailer got hung up on one of the bridge trusses at the back part of the trailer.

I lived in Louisville area for years, I avoided this bridge as much as possible because it was very old and VERY narrow, it was barely built to accommodate modern cars let along big rigs. I was always terrified a gust of wind would push me just a few inches over too far in either direction and I'd get hit. Exactly this situation was what I always feared, driving this bridge always felt like a risk

Her life flashed right before her eyes... just imagine what she was thinking as her truck was going straight towards the guard rail and over the bridge. She wasn't knocked out, she seen everything. I'm not understanding how the pickup driver was in the far right lane in the first place where the stalled car was because about 60 yards behind that car were two more cars. He must have swerved over to the far right lane in some sort of effort to get around traffic, realized there was another car stalled and swerved back and overcorrected. Not sure how he wouldn't have been able to see all 3 cars. I'm also not understanding how a truck could have that much effect on a semi.

The driver of the truck was trying to avoid a head on crash with the vehicle in fromt of him. Next the safety precautions that could have been put in place to prevent this type of problem was never installed. I understand that this was a driver did not have his driver's license, but the accident could have been a judge, a cop, a EMS worker , a doctor, a government official. My point is simple, that without the right type of protections put in place the problem could have happened to anyone.

The owner of the bridge should also be charged because of lack of safety. No center divider, no extra railing to stop vehicles from going off the bridge.

Wouldn't most semis just obliterate any standard vehicle like this truck? Did the truck hit it in a sweet spot that caused her to loose control or something? I've never seen a semi accident where a vehicle that small could actually affect the way a semi is driving, much less cause it to drive off a bridge.

I used to train drivers at a truck driving school and the women were always much better students than the guys. They didn't know everything about trucks like a lot of the guys did.

Trevor Brenham? Looking at the trucker's video, it appears that Trevor probably passed two OTHER stalled cars, then deked into the right lane to overtake the car in the passing lane; so, a really stupid move and then a criminally irresponsible one to avoid rear-ending the parked car.

If the pick up driver had his vehicle under proper control and been paying attention to what was ahead he would have been able to slow down/stop without having to swerve into opposing traffic lane. The fact the pick up driver was operating while his license suspended should give some clues to his probable competance.

And when it comes to having a driver's license, thereare so many people thag have a driver's license that are much worse of a driver, having a driver's license does not prove anything in in case. The drive proved that he was able to drive yo the bridge for where his starting location was, and I am sure yhe driver drove the days before.. let me guess the reason the driver was unable to pay for the driver's license was thw cost of insurance companies. @yeety6415 perhaps you should study physics or momentum and mass. When a small vehicle hits a 70000 lb vehicle, the operator of the larger vehicle should be able to maintain the large vehicle. But when you're not competent or nit strong enough to handle it then you shouldn't be driving. What's your experience driving heavy equipment? Or are you just crying for women's rights?

Even if I drove more than 52 miles a night on an interstate, I wouldn't park in the middle lane. I have no idea how fast my 579 will go since I stopped at 76 and the computer will narc on me. People were trying to blame that girl because she had her hand on her chin and wasn't at ten and two and because she didn't swerve. That is BS. She could have swerved, hit someone beside her and made it much worse, but she did everything she could have done in those few seconds.

An american citizen with a suspended license, arrested and brought up on criminal charges will probably do jail time. But, an illegal invader with no license, no insurance, didn't pass a drivers test, driving an unregistered vehicle with bald tires and no brakes is totally fine. We'll just let them go with a warning.

There’s no way that small pickup truck knocked her truck loose like that. Like a Female, she overreacted and did the most. She should’ve been in the right lane.
