Seems to me like people have got to him and turned him against the people who gave him everything. I just watched the movie and it was great. Sad that it's turned out this way. Doesn't seem to me the family needs any money at all being multi-multi millionaires, what's a couple hundred thousand when you sell your company for 200 million. Lawyers and some greedy people are in his ears and they should be ashamed. That's what I think at least.

@@Whoeverheardof we will see! I’ve been reading all the info on this I can and the Tuohy son is claiming he has text messages where Oher demanded money to not go public with anything. Also, Oher released these allegations one week after his book launched. Oher is claiming he received no money for the Blind Side. Me. Tuohy has claimed Oher did receive royalties for the film. I think we’ll have to wait and see how that turns out in court. Maybe Oher is telling the truth and he didn’t get paid anything. Maybe not and he actually maid the most. The adoption thing was never the allegation because there has never been a claim of legal adoption by any party. That’s just the sensationalist title to get people talking in the news reports. The fiscal aspect is what the real accusation is.

Leigh Ann fails to correct Stephanopoulos when he refers to Michael as her adopted son and she goes on to mention her "three children." Her webstite still refers to him in two places as her "adopted son." Nah, Leigh Ann, if he were adopted he would have the same legal rights to inheritance as your two actual children, unless you cut Michael out of your will, of course. But no need to do that, since Michael never had any legal rights as "family member." Only you had rights over your ward--a one way street. Totally illegal under Tennessee law to impose a conservatorship on an adult who has no mental or physical disability. Can't wait to hear more about how they pulled that off.

This doesn't seem to be a story of a family taking in a kid just out of the goodness of their heart, it seems it was more a story of an Ole Miss booster taking in a top recruit for his senior year to get him to Ole Miss. I ask myself if they would have taken him in if he had 0 athletic talent and I honestly don't think they would have.
@covertpuppytwo385710 ай бұрын
Because when they took him in at 16... they knew he was going to play football? Ole Miss was still Michael's decision and Michael doesn't dispute that. And Michael received perks going to Ole Miss since the conservatorship with the Tuohy's in the eyes of NCAA and the school made him a FAMILY legacy at the school!!!

So, no one can adopt without legal paperwork? Can't be part of a family unless the law says otherwise? Really?
@sidehustlevikki106610 ай бұрын
@@covertpuppytwo3857 thats not the point. The point is that they had him sign papers that he believed were a form of legal adoption when they know that the papers gave them full control over his football contracts. They were clearly being deceptive
@covertpuppytwo385710 ай бұрын
@@sidehustlevikki1066 According to who? Just Michael, who has also been blackmailing the family for $15million dollars for years! And I'll remind you that Michael himself knew it was conservatorship because the book he wrote in 2010 he says so 3 times!!! The conservatorship did make Michael family in the eyes of the NCAA, Ole Miss and the insurance company that the Tuohy used to pay for his health insurance!!! If you wish to believe that the man didn't know until he reached the age of 37 what a conservatorship means... that's on you!!! Saying they were clearly deceptive is speculative. Speculative in that the lawyers, the Tuohy family, the judge and Michael's own mother who was at the hearing all somehow deceived an 18-year-old who was living a privileged life that even most White kids never receive... and full access to an immense number of tools at his ready; libraries and the Internet but never once checked... You're either being deceptive or just plain gullible! Dean's list student but doesn't know what a conservatorship means... But let me guess... upset that the movie made him look dumb, but didn't know how google works?
@covertpuppytwo385710 ай бұрын
@@sidehustlevikki1066 To control his football contracts? You really need to stop writing comments on this story until you learn the facts in which you speak! The Tuohy family didn't negotiate or sign anything that had to do with his football contracts or even the contract that Michael himself signed with the movie studio!!! Michael was 3 months away from the age of 18 when the conservatorship was started for him because the conservatorship did make him family in certain legal aspects that was needed for him at that time to join Ole Miss as a Tuohy family member among other things! But the Tuohy family NEVER signed nor negotiated for Michael any legal contracts in his NFL career nor is he even making such claims! LET ME REPEAT... even Michael is NOT claiming the Tuohy's signed, negotiated or profited a dime in his football career that earned him $34 million dollars! The Tuohy's never used the conservatorship to control any aspect of Michael's life. EDUCATE YOURSELF PLEASE ON THE FACTS OF THE CASE AND WHAT MICHAEL IS SUING THEM FOR!
