Muslims claim the Dome of the Rock was built in the 7th century, but historical records tell a different story. The Dome of the Rock was damaged, rebuilt, and majorly renovated many times over throughout its lifetime. In the 16th century, it was believed that Umar built the Dome of the Rock. If the inscription about Abd al-Malik was present at this time, why would the local authorities and people of the time be under the impression and understanding that Umar built the building? This inscription about Abd al-Malik must have then been created after this time. Seems like the attribution of who built the Dome has no historical record about why it was changed. The answers to what motivated these changes are just as deserted as Mecca at the time when they were supposed to occur.

Why didn’t you compare the mosaics to the ones in the great mosque in Damascus? Stylistically they are very similar because they were made at the same time. There are sections of the mosaics in the Damascus mosque that are twentieth century imitations and they are easy to see. It’s very difficult to successfully imitate art from a former period and what would their motivation be to even try?

Islamic arts are not difficult to imitate. Have you seen Chinese motifs and artistic culture? Calligraphy, utensils, chinaware, silk paintings and threads? The Silk Road trades made it possible. 🤦🏼‍♂️

@@CHSCRTE yes, the Islamic arts like metalwork, tile work and carpets could be easily imitated. The fine arts of installing Byzantine mosaics of the style in the Umayyad mosque were totally lost to the Muslims after this period though, which is evident in that they ceased to exist. It’s likely that they used Christian artisans to install mosaics since they’d been perfecting the art form for centuries, and once the pool of artists dried up, they moved on to ceramic tiles.

In 637 Umar conquered jerusalem and built al aqsa mosque on temple mount. In 691 it is generally said that al malik built the dome of the rock next to it. Getting the name wrong is just another lie which occurred cerca 1720ish. These historical citations regarding temple mount that do not indicate a muslim origin indicate that the structure may not have originally been built by muslims. 12:50 earliest historical reference of DOR is late 9th century Also recall that earliest mention of mecca is about year 800 AD We know this for sure: when mhmd said he went on his night journey to temple mount mhmd described an ornate building there. At that time, there were no buildings there.

Mecca also doesn’t appear on any historical document until 9th century. 'Umar was Nazarene by faith. When he went to Jerusalem, in the treaty with Patriarch Sophronius, he took his oath on the Torah. Obviously the Quran did not exist then as a tome. Quran = chants (of the Nazarenes). But the Nazarenes, according to the Quran, were Muslim as per the words of Jesus.

Who built the Dome of the Rock? The Dome of the Rock was built by the caliph ‘Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan in 72 AH. It says in al-Mawsu’ah al-Filastiniyyah (4/203): “The name al-Masjid al-Aqsa was historically applied to the entire sanctuary (al-Haram al-Sharif) and the buildings in it, the most important of which is the Dome of the Rock which was built by ‘Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan in 72 AH/691 CE, which is regarded as one of the greatest Islamic historical buildings. But today the name is applied to the great mosque which is situated in the southern part of the sanctuary plateau.”

Jesus praying to God is clear evidence that Jesus is not and should not be regarded as the one God. Jesus prays to the one God means that Jesus needs and relies on the one God. If you happen to know your history, you will know that Mohammad (saw) miraculously traveled with Gabriel on a Buraq (Heavenly stead) to the furthers Mosques on the Temple mount. That Mosque was the Unfinished Temple the Jews built when the Persian ruled Jerusalem and retaken by the Byzantines who demolished that Temple Edifice. - the TIMELINE is from 610, the Sassanid Empire drove the Byzantine Empire out of the Middle East, giving the Jews control of Jerusalem for the first time in centuries. The Jews in Palestine were allowed to set up a vassal state under the Sassanid Empire called the Sassanid Jewish Commonwealth which lasted for five years. Jewish rabbis ordered the restart of animal sacrifice for the first time since the time of Second Temple and started to reconstruct the Jewish Temple. Shortly before the Byzantines took the area back five years later in 615, the Persians gave control to the Christian population, who tore down the partially built Jewish Temple edifice and turned it into a GARBAGE DUMP, which is what it was when the Rashidun Caliph Umar took the city in 637. In 637 Muslim Arabs besieged and captured the city from the Byzantine Empire, which had defeated the Persian forces and their allies, and reconquered the city and cleared the rubbish from the Temple Mount and built the main Islamic buildings on the mount.

The Muslims could say that there is one truth in the world & all people have it, the Jews, Christians & Muslims & some other religions. No one would have a problem with that. Also, get rid of the violence, intolerance, hate of anyone different & the mistreatment of women & Islam would be accepted. If this would happen Islam would survive & thrive. If these things do not happen Islam will be gone in 50 years. Muslim youth are questioning more & more & so are women. Women make up slightly over 50% of the population & no one is going to keep them down for long. Adapt & survive. Stay in the 7th Century & also expecting everyone to stay there also will not work & will doom Islam. I've given you & other Muslims the key to survival for Islam. It will work if adopted.

@@aaabrams1889 Let me clear this up for you very quickly. Islam came about at least 600 years after Christianity & thousands of years after Judaism. No one gets to claim they have a better religion than anyone else. You're welcome to practice your brand of religion as long as it is peaceful & tolerant but on one is going to accept that islam is somehow a "new and improved religion." I guess if I invented my own religion today in 2023 I can claim it is the "correct one" & everyone other one is out of date? I don't think anyone would accept that.
