Notice how he shifts from being salty from not getting a reward into being genuinely entertained browsing the creatures in the aquarium and seeing how cute they are, maybe at the end that is the reward.

Was so excited for this update. Played along with you and Jess for the first 6 hours. I was struggling to get pearls and what to do with my excess scallops that Pascale doesn’t want, and now knowing there is no end goal except a thanks from blathers when you collect everything really takes the wind out of the sails. Great vid as always!

I completely understand your frustration but this is the exact opposite of what you're supposed to be doing. The game doesn't want you to cram in a whole year worth of collecting into 10 hours. Of course, you would be tired and burn out from this experience. I get it that you wanted to show everyone the whole collection but Animal Crossing isn't designed for grinding. Having said that, yes some kind of reward would be nice, but there is no reward for fossils either. Also, the golden tools are more like an extra thing to show off that you did it (like Lilly of the Valley).

Ing A pretty much the same thing happened to austinjohnplays. He crammed making a five star island, almost completing his critterpedia and getting some of his dreamiest into 3 months of gameplay. And of course he was burned out.

@@cannon-evans Not really? I'm not expecting things for completing these collections except for a full museum that I can walk through the exhibits and see everything I donated. Animal crossing isn't a game that has rewards like that really. It is all at your own pace for your own satisfaction.

Totally agree. The reward is satisfaction of completing the collection. If you need a golden wetsuit so you can show off that you did it on day one, this is the wrong game for you.

I don’t think there’s anything for getting all the fossils either. (You do get the golden shovel for assessing 300 fossils, but not for completing the fossil exhibit)

@@shartnugget2260 You can go to an island in the opposite hemisphere as you to catch (grab? Idk) sea creatures that would normally be available until later in your own hemisphere. That's even if there's creatures that you can only catch throughout the year. I'm not sure if you'll be able to catch EVERY single one by going to a different hemisphere, but you'll be able to different ones.

Not sure if you're aware, but if you click on the museum signage, it highlights the animal named (and even follows it around the aquarium, if it's swimming). Works like that everywhere in the museum (except for art and fossils, since they don't move 😝).

you can tell hes new to AC and people who agree with him are new to AC too. This series has never been about rewarding you for playing it. this is not an instant gratification series. playing it and completing stuff because you like doing it is the point. its like expecting someone to give you a trophy in real life just because you completed a collection, like no dude, you collect because its fun for you lol

Since I did not get anything special completing the fossil collection, I did not expect anything with completing the sea creature collection. Plus, as a person who does not time travel, I feel like they could update the game with a reward or more creature at some point?

Gold wet suit and mask DIY would've been nice. Or a Golden air tank that lets you breath underwater and swim a little bit faster would've been amazing.. It's pretty disappointing that nothing was given for your time spent, like why not give us the Old Diving Suit that's in the Museum with the submarine 😅.. but tbh it really kills the mood.
