It's funnier considering that just a couple of moments before this clip she was ranting about the invasion of privacy. Then after a quick look clears Abed of stealing Annie's pen, it's Britta who starts thumbing through Abed's notebooks AND slaps his hand away when he says it's his personal business. Great character writing highlighting Britta's constant hypocrisy.

I know, right? Pierce really nailed that sync-up theory! Edit: I'm being sarcastic, and please stop liking the guy right beneath me's problematic comments. The validity of early sync up experiments has been invalidated by more comprehensive tests which returned inconclusive with some tests even showing their periods spreading further apart. Look it up. Also, siting research into animals' periods as a valid resource just shows how little you understand about humans as complex beings. The whole point of Pierce's character is to say satirical, offensive crap. If you're just adding to his outdated nonsense, you're missing the point.

1:59 Interesting subtlety here. Annie accepts the chocolate willingly. Britta doesn't take notice until Annie throws the chocolate back. But Shirley had a suspicious observation on Abed's action, she was going to intervene but was hesitant until Annie reacts and all the three are shocked at Abed.
@misterairborne654
@misterairborne654 3 жыл бұрын
Not to mention, she's the first of them three to actually start suspecting something about the notebook. Before Britta comes to the realization, her eyes had already lit up, while Annie doesn't suspect anything until Britta points it out to her. I would definitely pin this on Shirley being the oldest, and thus, the most knowledgeable about her own body by default. And of course Annie's the youngest, and so she realizes last.

Honestly, this is a case where intention makes all the difference. Of course anyone’s first reaction to finding out someone’s been secretly tracking when they bleed is to be creeped out. If he was doing it because he found it sexually stimulating, that would be gross. If he was doing it because he wanted an excuse to dismiss the women as irrational and slaves to their hormones whenever they were upset, that would be gross. But he just wanted to be a better friend, and take extra care of them when they were in a lot of physical pain and particularly sensitive, which is actually very sweet. Ideally he’d tell the girls about it, but I appreciate the guys in my life who pay attention to when my body is trying to self destruct and take extra steps for me. So yeah fellas, keeping track isn’t a terrible idea. Just don’t be a Pierce about it

I kind of used to do this for my girlfriend in college because it gave me a better idea of how take better care of her during those times and so I'd know to be more sensitive. I told her about it and she seemed to really appreciate it, and we even joked about it because there were a couple of times that I knew before she did. In Abeds case I don't understand the anger. He struggles socially a lot, and this is one of the few tangible ways we've seen him actually try to be more mindful of other people's needs and grow as a person. I'd honestly be impressed
