Wow we usually make it during the rains. But we make rice oval balls, not flat. I think it's the common dish of the malabaries. Slowly they r vanishing. It's so nice to see u remind us of it. Whenever we go to Tellicherry to my grandmas house we enjoy so many wonderful dishes like this. U r rewinding our memories Thank u so much.

Respected Ma'am Yet another culinary delight from Abeeda Rasheed's kitchen. Kakka Orotti is a new dish for me. The way you teach , is so interesting, paying great attention to the finer details of this dish.. such as timing is of essence, how fennel gives this dish its sun burst of flavour, the need to fry the grated coconut evenly, and as the beef's rich gravy thickened. and the tempering and steam softened orottis carrying their distinct flavour were added, warmth and good cheer spread throughout your kitchen and even reached my home in Kannur. Thank you Ma'am .
