Navajo Traditional Teachings

Navajo Historian, Wally Brown, teaches about the Evil One. And, how he deceives and preys on the Five-fingered being.
By exploiting the five senses... the Evil One lures people into addiction and overindulgence.
He does this by offering counterfeit joy, happiness, confidence, and peace. These counterfeits are fleeting and cannot last.

A while ago, you spoke about a Navajo belief that says speaking about evil things gives power to evil. I have taken that belief as one of my own beliefs. Having it makes sense with all the tragic events in the news. If I don't repeat the tragic news with what I say or what I write, I deprive evil power. I try to repeat the good stories and speak about them.

I'm glad some Native Americans were able to keep their cultures and languages alive. I hope your younger generations learn your ways from the elders and carry it on to future generations. The world is full of distractions for young people today, and learning language and culture might not be important to all of them. But I hope there are enough who do value it and cherish it.

@@anaciuperciuc5296 well our external world is surely nothing more then a reflection of our internal world. Most people view yin and Yang as a balance between dark and light, good and bad… yes? The yin and Yang should be recognized as the balance between logic and intuition (our internal reality), the two hemispheres of our subjective world mold our reality. Good and evil should not be advertised as one being good as apposed to the other. But recognized as order and chaos, the two hemispheres which simultaneously coexist and compliment each other. I watched another lesson these teachers gave. And he basically said modern technology may very well be considered an effort of the black one. Hes right, when you look to how social media depresses normal people and does much worse to children, and how the family unit is the ultimate target of most dark attacks. I started to see the lesson exactly as it unfolded, before it unfolded. How it's happening right now. As I write and you read. The power becomes good or bad when you decided what to do with it. That's why tools feel like extensions of ourselves. Objects, places, and times become our intent.

In Buddhism referred to as Mara. I’ve been entangled in it for a while it brought me great suffering i’ve been suppressed, oppressed. What not? Trying reconnect with my soul but i am in company of…… I can tell more but also better to withhold i guess.. I have recently asked a master for more clarifications. Awaiting my answer what to do. Its been hard. Emberassing. Destructive. Fighting everyday. For positivity, gaining soul and strength. Strength not so difficult, even though i fluctuate. But have power AND love, health virtue, all-awareness. All together very difficult lol. So everyday is like making choices. Often (have to?) being a beast. Hard to find my way. Try focus on myself. Instead all the phenomena im going through. Self-kindness. Where others complaining. etc. Slowly seem to be AT LEAST something improving. Making clearer and more focused days. One thing less to be confused about.

The King James bible taliks about a Devil, and it also talks about a "strong deception" that will fall apon a large part of peoples in the later days. I know people, peoplw whom I growed up with, these people have fallen for the "woke" relegion. They are nothing like the kind and open people who they were when we were young. They now are very demanding, very controlling people. They now feel that they are the true good people, and everyone who will not except their ways is now an evil doer. It is almost amazing how much people can change in 25 years.

Hi Curtis🤗! You’ve put into words what I have in mind since quite a long time! I see parallels between the religions too! After all, I wouldn’t be surprised if all religions, or let me rather call them individual culture ways of belief and worship, are stemming from the same holy source! Different cultures have different traditions and conscious, so to me it seems likely that the path or ways to true and real belief lead to individual religions so to give all different cultures possibilities to understand and embrace them! Pity so many cultures consider their religions as the only ones or the true ones and don’t hesitate to kill everyone else who doesn’t agree! I wish, at long last, humans would humble themselves and understand they’re only humans who neither have the right nor the duty to oppress, torture, torment or even to kill others! Evil deeds like that feed, what we humans call the ultimate evil and the ultimate evil has multiple names due to cultural reasons! Nevertheless all names denote the same: the great evil! Perhaps the biggest and most fatal deception of all might be to make humans think or feel, they belong to the chosen religion or culture! Thanks to Grandfather Wally for his magnificent and mind opening explanations when he shares the wisdom of his ancestors!

An open heart is all you need. This is simple in wording, but the tricky part is that the mind might tell you you also need an able mind, but one begets the other. People who seem to have a big heart but a dull mind that is easily fooled are actually acting based on fear, too, simply in a more passive-defensive strategy of dealing with it. Because true empathy naturally leads to endeavoring to understand your actions and the world so that the outcome is assured to be positive. In short, people who really care about the truth will really become better at seeing it. One 'animal lover' might buy worn-out work elephants from a slaver. Another one will understand that this only further funds and conveniences the slaver's business scheme and will thus work on finding better ways instead. The former is acting based on egoic fears - search for meaning, prestige, sustenance, tribal support. The latter truly suffers with the elephants.

In my experience it is important for one to know of evil to stop evil. If you do not know something is dangerous and how to recognize that danger, you cannot protect yourself or others. I apply this philosophy to recognizing authoritarianism, fanaticism, and hateful rhetoric. I think this can also apply to spirituality for those who are spiritual. I am personally not religious or spiritual. However I believe that empathy, compassion, and understanding are vital to the human experience. Thank you for taking the time and energy to provide others with this knowledge.

I agree with your approach. I've known hardship and difficulties all throughout my life, but I had always kept the idea that people are essentially good because I thought that was the default. However, within the past two years I've realized how naive that is. Evil truly is a force that can seep into the hearts of those who are ill-prepared to stand strong in its face. I was realizing how seeds of resentment were being planted in my heart, and I realized that I had to make a conscious choice to choose right. I had to look into myself and see that there was potential for evil to grow, and I had to recognize it as such. It's still something I have a hard time navigating, but I agree that it is important to be aware of evil, so as not to do its bidding.

The Native heritage is part of the oldest cultures, when he speaks of 2nd and third worlds, hes speaking of Earths evolution predating human history, how all souls evolved here. We are evolving into fourth and even fifth worlds now. Humanity has an option to grow and ascend to them or be stuck in third world Evolution. Follow the beauty way, which was the ancient way of Christ also, it leads to happiness and bliss and love. Third world is black Yedis world of senses.

It resonate because you have lived that reality and believed in it at some point in another life.....we are souls having a human experience again and again in every country gender position status etc until all our lessons are learnt and we have evolved enough to regard the other as ourself with no separation or difference whatsoever...at that point being an american or a peruvian has no more meaning 😉💖
