I know I thought the same...how on earth did they get back there. It took us hiking for miles and half a day but someone does go up there. The Angel was on the ground so they didn't fix that or it fell in the meantime. I put that back up. I felt a sacredness there and was happy to find the story about the father and daughter buried there.

What a beautiful place Todd. What they had back in the day. People may have been poor money wise but they had more then what money could buy them. An that's the love of the land an their families all close by them. They were together day in an day out working the land they called home. Times were so much simpler back then when you had to make do with what you had or what you were able to make out of the resources you had. Such a beautiful place that was once occupied by many including the natives before they occupied the land I'm sure. I'm sure there are many native artifacts to be found by the river banks an old relics around the old home sites as well. Maybe you will have some time to come back an spend the day looking it over for some buried history. You always manage to find some really amazing places Todd. All the hard work definitely pays off for you. An your right about the old cemetery. Don't look like anyone had been there for many years. This day in time there's just not many people left that's willing to take the time to keep these places in check. An they tend to all fall by the way side. An eventually go back into mother earth as we will one day as well. Todd another awesome video on some really amazing lost history of the old farmstead. Have an awesome weekend. An we will catch you on your next adventure my friend. 😁👍👍

Hey Richard thanks again for the thoughtful response. This one was a hard permission to get, and took me well over a year before the landowner said yes. I still have not gotten permission to detect the homesteads on this farm as it is locked up in family. The place is stunning and full of history and I was blessed to have been able to discover this off the beaten path cemetery and to be rewarded with that view just past the cemetery.

You know I certainly don't know and there is virtually nothing on this cemetery. I'm sure they lived somewhere on this land or that road we were walking out of that place. Hey Matthew I do have a better camera, a Samsung and it is what most of the best channels use. The big problem is the transfer from Samsung to an Mac/Apple computer and it's movie based system iMovie. Also GoPro shoots in 4D High Resolution but KZfaq only uploads in a 1080 format which downgrades the resolution. This is why most use camera phones for short up close clips of their finds and do not show clips of context (surroundings, actual dig). GoPro is the best at this but until the technology improves for YT it will remain a challenge. Thanks for the comment!
