Welcome in the family SSJ Rose! By curiosity, which respirator are you currently using? The RPB Nova 3 is designed in a way that the center of gravity is located in the middle of your head. It is (according to the comments we receive from our end users) the most comfortable sandblasting helmet you can rely on in the market today. It is in promotion right now with a free C40 Climate control device. Check out the promotion details at www.rpbsafety.com/industrial/free-c40 or contact your local dealer for more info. You deserve what's best for your health and comfort. ;)

To slow with the handle, should be using a whip hose as it's by far the faster method. Is he using a snow shovel or what though?

I blast in a raised blast room so all my sand and debris falls though the grated floor into a bin. Never have to shovel. I worked for a company where every couple weeks id have to HAND SHOVEL thousands of pounds of sand out.... it SUCKED. This setup is much better.

Hello Wretched Slippage, woah! this is hard work! Best believe you are now a very strong man💪 We feel so sorry when we hear or see stories like that. There are so many media recovery system options available. Some are very cheap to implement. The manual labor should never be one. Toast to all the hard workers who are working their 'hose' off to earn their paycheck 😉

Shot Blaster at Cheetah chassis. Do yall Make suspension systems for Air supply lines to the Blast hoods E.G extended arms that pivot with position of the person to the keep the lines off of the floor. Myself along with my co workers are having an issue of the air lines getting eaten up From the Steel shot we use. I have been just Duck taping the lines but i feel that is not sufficient enough and as a result not getting proper air flow to the blast hoods. *edit* i am hoping i can get some sort of solution that i can present to the president of the company.

Hi Astaroth, thanks for your comment. We totally hear you! We did something similar for blasters who use 2" ID blast hose. Very heavy equipment to carry! We mounted the blast hose and air breathing lines to the roof of the blast booth, so the weight is held by the roof structure rather than on the operators' back. Not so convenient for the blast hose because it was prematurely wearing out on the curves, but very efficient for the air lines that were never on the way nor exposed to the blast stream. You should definitely consider something like that. If you need our help, feel free to send an email to info@istsurface.com with pictures of your blasting facility and your requirements (how many blasters, approx. length between the point of attachment where the filter is located and the blasters' helmet considering traveling the wall and the roof, etc.).

Hello Mike, Thanks for your request. We also manufacture blast cabinets. They come in several sizes or you can even customize your own. I would suggest you send us a request through info@istsurface.com with as much details as possible on your applications (parts sizes and materials, abrasive media to use, pressure or suction delivery system, objective of the blasting process, etc.) and from there we can propose the right system for your needs.

What is the criterion when I start to build a sandblast room ?
@ISTSurface
@ISTSurface 3 жыл бұрын
Umm that's a pretty open question. Here is a non-exhausted list of factors to take into consideration. Parts dimensions and weight is the number one criteria to help you size the booth. Then, how are you going to bring the parts in and out the room (lift truck?)? Do you want to recover your abrasive media (hope the answer is yes!)? What type of abrasive media? Can you excavate your floor to integrate the recovery system in-ground? Does your process produce combustible dust (most of the time, the dust collector needs to be installed outside the building for that reason)? What's your budget? How long do you plan on blasting before you run out of media and need to refill the pot? How frequently do you want to clean the floor and recover your media? And the list goes on.

Hi is this vapor blasting and if it is what would be the cost of this exact set up in US dollar's
@ISTSurface
@ISTSurface 2 жыл бұрын
Hi JR Walters. In this video, it is dry sandblasting. We do manufacture wet blasting cabinets too, but not vapor blasters that is not self-contained. Note that, with vapor blasting, it is technically impossible to recover and reuse abrasive media as it mixes with dust and contaminants and, more importantly, water which makes it incompatible with most reclaiming systems. So, these systems usually use disposable abrasive media making them a generally more costly process (unless required to control dust in an outdoor, controlled job site, for instance).

Sand makes a lot of dust, use metal medium instead for less dust and reuse of medium
@ISTSurface
@ISTSurface 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment Dragos. You are right, we advise against the use of silica sand in our blast booths. Not only this media produces a lot of dust, but it is also harmful for workers' air quality (free silica causes cancer and several lung diseases). And since it turns into dust upon the first impact, it is an inefficient and expensive media to use, especially for indoor blasting facilities.

Chad - The cost of such booth varies substantially based on its size (which also determines the dust collector size and power) and the choice of a media recovery system (mechanical vs pneumatic, floor hoppers layout: full floor, partial floor or sweep-chute). Small blast room using moderately light abrasive media is quite affordable as opposed to what we think. In most cases, the return on investment is quicker than we could imagine. We can provide you an estimate for your application if you need further information ;)

@@phillhuddleston9445 That's right! We have solutions for all budgets and we can help you determine what your return on investment could be. One thing is sure, the investment in a proper surface preparation prior to apply a coating will ALWAYS outperform the cost of a coating failure where surface preparation was neglected.

I did a shaker floor under grated room bucket lift ,2 blasters biggest hose with last six feet small with size 7 nozzle at 140+ psi one compressor on continuous and other on auto ,you don't work all day all week and hold a hose like that 💪 put between legs curl hose up your chest and loop down the pressure holds you up and you don't fight it 😂😂😂😂 only idiots work like this full shift 😂 fuck that and holding the hose like that tells me you're under 80 psi or you only do this at most once a week
