“Absolute maximum ratings” is an important set of parameters that is given in datasheets of all electronic components.
This presentation explains how to interpret these limitations and how they affect the circuit design.
The video covers “Absolute maximum ratings” of operational amplifiers. Forthcoming videos will cover other devices.

I love these videolessons after all these years more and more. Especially the ones about things i thought i knew it all from, or at least the most, it turns out that l those ones are full to the brim with surprising new insights, knowledge and things i am glad i just learned them because of the usefullness, and even more for making our own circuits better or our errors more understandable! Power dissipation in op amps is quite an important parameter when dealing with high power op amps like the OPA467 or similar. Which are interesting devices by themselve! 😊

How do i estimate input and output impedance in the case of op amps ? Do i take the out/in current and max voltage and then calculate as if there was a resistor there?
