Excellent explanation. I feel honored to be able to listen to the youtube video from a IEEE life fellow on small technical details.

@sambenyaakov. Love your videos. You should do a video on current doubler rectifiers. There’s very little discussion about this amazing topology. I’m struggling to explain how the currents in the inductors are unbalanced. You are the man to explain it!

@@sambenyaakov It’s a very interesting topology. The virtual centre tap made me initially assume at a glance that each half cycle supply direction will simply alternate between the inductors and diode so it’s identical and each inductor current are balanced which it they are at low load. I have been playing around with some simulations and at high output current the inductor currents are unbalanced. I’m unsure how to calculate the currents there’s very little out there. There’s output ripple cancellation that I struggle to analyse mathematically. You are the number one power electronics curator in the world. The current doubler deserves you!

Who’s Who in Power Electronics !!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Mr. Yaakov, thanks four your videos. Could you consider doing a video on methods for paralleling and load sharing on DC power supplies? (i.e. droop control, current sharing, voltage source PS master + sumplementary PS current sources... What do you think about "Current OS" DC Microgrids industry proposal?

Great suggestion! Load sharing will be my next video. As for DC microgrid 🤔

Great video again, sir! Sort of on topic, but any chance you can do a video on controlling the output voltage of the error amplifier? So, say you've designed a type 2 or 3 error amp but want to adjust the steady state output voltage because it doesn't align with the FB pin IC's voltage spec. Or, that during transient the compensator saturates on either rail so you need to adjust the output voltage (DC setpoint of the compensator) as well as the AC response of the compensator. Hopefully you think it could be a good video, if not, thanks anyways! cheers

Of course, you are talking about 1920 vintage circuits. 21st-century designs like the Four-switch step-down storageless converter by Ćuk or the Bridgeless PFC, or indeed anything using modern ideas like the Ćuk Converter, integrated magnetics, hybrid switching, PWM-Resonant convertors, or using the Resonance Scaling Method will give very different result. Save the antique analysis for an antique store.

You apparently missed the point that this video is for educational purposes and not a design guide. Please have a look at the comments on the video by others. I will be more than happy to exchange views with you on the matter and to explain why I think you are completely off. Please identify yourself so we carry out a civilised conversation. Thanks. I am astonished that of all the great achievers in power electronics you found Cuk to hail. IMHO Cuk did not introduce a new idea that really works since his apprenticeship with Prof. Middlebrook. As for the “Four-switch step-down storageless converter” which was never published in a peer reviewed journal and in fact never shown to work efficiently in the real world (notwithstanding the bragging of Cuk), see kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nNqJaZCilbbXd3k.html

@robertpearson8546 I have noticed few power electronics "scholars" who wants to become bigger by crushing others. You could fit that category very well. If you have a better idea, make a videos and let viewers judge.
