This one month of Worldpackers experience was absolutely the best. Working abroad is always fun but Colombia and Costeño Beach Hostel exceeded my expectations.
The platform where I found this position is called ‪@Worldpackers‬ and It's super easy to sign-up.

I feel you, 100%. The way you described how hostel volunteer's life works and how hard is to say goodbye was exactly the way I would explain it!!! Somehow you feel sad, happy, grateful, scared for not knowing if what's coming would be as great, and on, and on. Definitely something everyone should give a try. Amazing work, awesome video!

Diana, your experience in Colombia looks absolutely incredible! Working abroad can be so rewarding, especially when you get to immerse yourself in a new culture and contribute to a vibrant community. The Costeño Beach Hostel seems like a dreamy place to be. Keep exploring, keep sharing, and keep inspiring others to step out of their comfort zones. I would like to recomend you to visit another part of Colombia like Choco.

What an amazing video! And you seem like an amazing person. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful and intimate story. I know and love Colombia immensely! I know the area, and was also ravaged by mosquitos (or sand flies?) in both Palomino and Minca, but the experience was well worth it. Keep up the amazing work!! 🙏🤎

Hi, I like the way You show the real experience that You lived being a volunteer because You show the both sides of living that, it's really beautiful the way You like to help other people and how You enjoy it so much. I am from Colombia and I really apreciate your labor in My country because much local people are not willing to help the community as You do, I recommend You to visit la Guajira which is a beautiful place in Colombia.

@@dianawanderlust Hi! I haven't been to Europe before! context is i'm from Singapore, which is part of South East Asia. So there's too many places in Europe I want to explore haha I want to visit Switzerland, Greece, Italy, France. But I'm also looking at Eastern Europe to try and keep my budget low as I'm still a student without a solid income. I'm having a study exchange in Netherlands for 6 months next year with breaks in between so volunteering 1-2 weeks at a time may be possible for me. Am open to any suggestions and advice of solo travelling as a girl and on a budget! thank you :)

Your perspective is always very balanced compared to most YT videos -- 'it's paradise, but with mean fungi.' 😃 Maybe all that yoga and meditation keeps you grounded, or maybe that's just how you are. I wonder where you will go next.

@@jamieavernaa yes if you only have few weeks, I would just go to different cities and different hostels. On Worldpackers they ask for minimum 2weeks/1 month commitment anyway

Nobody pays anything, you do the work and they give you food and accommodation

Sometimes, although rarely, they ask you to pay. In Costa Rica it’s impossible to find a good position where you won’t have to pay but that’s usually not the case
