colorful abstract acrylic painting technique using palette knife and brush. I used the palette knife to layer the acrylic paint, what creates the lovely textures. The brush is used for blending and to add some splashes.
Colors used:
Mars Black(Sennelier"Abstract"), Purple(Sennelier"Abstract"), Permanent Red Violet(Royal Talens"Amsterdam"), Perm Red Violet Light(Royal Talens"Amsterdam"), Titanium White(Sennelier"Abstract")
Acrylic paint on canvas (40x40cm)

I absolutely LOVE this !!! I most recently have been doing fluid art but feel like I am more drawn to this type of abstract art but I haven't had the courage to give it a try yet. Lol . But this has really inspired me to just go for it. I have in my mind the colors I want to work with which would be blues, silver ,black & white . I do have some pallete knives already but was wondering what type of brush I would want to use . Is there a certain type that you would recommend ?? I have sat many hours just watching your videos and just love watching you work so effortlessly. I know I have a lot to learn and it will not be good at 1st I'm sure but any advice or tips that you could recommend would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for sharing your beautiful art & amazing talent !!! 😉😉😉😉

Thanks a lot :-) I work quite fast and i spray a bit of water on the canvas before i start to blend.

Spraying a small amount of water definitely helps. Also they make extenders that you can mix with your acrylics to extend working time. So far spraying water is all I have needed to do.

@@maasstube one more question and I won't bother you as I know you're probably very busy....I want to learn how to do what you do but I was in a motorcycle accident and I have very little to no feeling in my hands and arms up to the elbow and my feet to my knees.......do you think I should pursue this and if not could you possibly point me in the right direction... anyway sorry to bother you again....take care and no matter what I will still be watching!!!!

You've already made this painting...same colors, different angle, and didn't tape this one off and use black and purple as defining lines, but otherwise TOTALLY the same. BORING!
